Because it was Valentine’s Day and we arrived to a packed (but not too packed house, I expected to be late in getting seated. But we were seated on time if not early at a cozy table. All the staff were very pleasant. We started with an old fashioned and a Manhattan, both good — and quick! Then came a fresh, warm and crusty baguette and butter. Then we had potato leek soup, delicious, and a hearty salad with lots of good stuff (olives, chick peas, avocados, roasted leek, frisé . Jeanette, our server, was absolutely wonderful—quick, pleasant, witty and helpful. She made a perfect wine suggestion and because I couldn’t decide, I let her choose my entree — chicken cordon bleu. We arrived for lunch on a very busy Saturday. The restaurant was packed, but we were seated promptly. Our table was in the middle of the room and very close to others and the servers kept bumping it, but that got better once the crowd started to clear out. The food was good biscuits and gravy wasn't traditional, but was very good. Pasta was also very good. I would go back if I were in the area again.
What a great little find! The food was delicious, We had French onion soup, deep fried oysters, I had the special mahi mahi and my partner had the steak frites. All were amazing and a delightful wine list to accompany. The staff were incredible and very attentive.
The restaurant is fantastic! Unfortunately, it seems that Open Table is not aware that the restaurant left their platform over a month ago and cancelled all reservations, including ours. Thankfully, the restaurant was still able to accommodate us. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
I have been coming to this restaurant for many years. The food, service, atmosphere, and value are consistently excellent. I highly recommend it.
