Café Vauban - Tisch resevieren

We visited Café Vauban on Sunday noon. A unique menu for the WE at 49€! In the entrance we chose a terrine of foie gras with its homemade pistachio bread. No pistachio in the bread, just industrial bread. After explaining the waitress, there was a big service the day before, so more bread. So no fresh bread of the day for a menu at 49€? What was not our surprise to see the mouthing between the entrance and the dish!! The waitress forgot. The dish, beef paved with girolles, polenta and seasonal vegetables. The dish comes, no girolle, but mushrooms from Paris, ah yes, big service the day before!! menu always at 49€... The dessert, nothing exceptional. But, the coffee gracefully offered!!! So a...

We had come in January 2020, the restaurant offered quality cuisine for an adequate price (about 30-35 euros). We had a great evening. We come back in October 2021, the kitchen became very banal, eatable but without any interest, served by streaked and overflowed servers, and the menu price went to 50 euros, which is absolutely not worth it. A sad evolution, I imagine that the Covid has passed by there and or the establishment has changed its owner. It is a pity and hoping that customer returns will allow us to return the benefits to the right level. In the meantime, to avoid!

On weekends, you will be entitled to a unique menu at 50€, with 2 choices in entry, 2 choices in dishes, and the same for dessert. Overall, it's pretty good, and well cooked without being delicious either. The decor is pleasant, even if the furniture is a little worn out, attests to the armrests of the decoded chairs and whose foam springs. This would deserve 4 stars because there are no bad notes, but I withdraw one because the prices are a little high: a coca costs for example 8€ The price quality ratio is disappointing. Good staff welcome, but alas very banal kitchen, cold served vegetables, basic presentation, very common decor and dishes, bof, bof! much too expensive for the services offered, but you can park in the courtyard, and it can be convenient when you are at the hotel, I see no other interest, no real vegetarian menu in an international hotel, it becomes limit at our time, but the non-vegetarian dishes that I have tested are really not worth the trip either... Very good Restaurant, in the Hotel Castel Maintenon. It schlagen a three-course menu, expensive for quality and location, but overall a good experience! (Original view) Sehr gutes Restaurant, im Hotel Castel Maintenon. Es bietet ein drei Kurs-Menü, teuer für die Qualität und Lage, aber insgesamt eine gute Erfahrung!

How to say a restaurant TRICATEL. Two products above grease and beef net the rest of the jelly. It's not worthy of a restaurant. A catastrophic end of service. Meat juice, frozen bread. A basket of unworthy bread see photo. Not frankly, it's better to have dinner somewhere else.

Very disappointed. The menu is more than reduced (2 admissions, 3 dishes and 2 desserts). The choice is therefore very limited and the price is exorbitant. No interest in this restaurant. Cleanness leaves to be desired.

We ate at the restaurant during our stay at Castel Maintenon. Correct, no more. Dear for quality.
