My wife and I ate here twice in April. It is over the stream from the Bad Aussee Postamp on a second floor. As an authentic Austrian food. We never saw bullets that were tourists. For the first time, we had packed a ground pork/cut leaf in a pastry crust. It was especially hearty with parsley potatoes and was the day menu. The second time my wife had a very beautiful turkey salad with a wonderful olive oil dressing and I had the day menu again that was pizza with different meats. The servicings were extra generous and the waiting staff attentive. A waitress spoke good English and the other enough. Recommended!
On Thursday evening at 8 p.m., the café bar was full and the restaurant was empty. We sat down to order Diner, we waited for about 20 minutes to come to a waiter who hardly looked at us and didn't seem very happy to serve foreigners, no trouble at all. Just meal: pizza, no choise! So for 7.5€ you get a reheated pizza half mushroom, half ham. A very mediocre experience that I would not recommend, Bad Aussee has much more pleasant places to have diners.
The café is not easy to find, but definitely worth it! the daily menu is very good, cheap and you don't have to wait long. Also very good is the Wiener Schnitzel, the best I had so far. If you don't have time for lunch, you should also try the homemade cakes, especially the cream cuts and home cakes are fantastic. In addition, you will not find many tourists there, more work for people in Bad Aussee, so truly authentic.
We visited the café on Monday 6. September 2021, time 18.30 for dinner because meals were announced on a black board in front of the house. A waitress was seen and told us: Today only house pizza and toast available. We left the café.
