My wife took me to this Mediterranean restaurant in South Pasadena nearby her work that she and her friends always go there for lunch. My wife was telling they love including herself she say the food is really good. We came to the restaurant at the right time it was lunch time and they have a lunch special deal. My wife order the falafel plate and I got the chicken kabobs and you pick your sides. It took about 20 minutes to have our meal ready everything in the restaurant is made from scratch and made to order. It's just okay BECAUSE I've had much better considerably larger portions for similar prices in the Glendale area. The portions are quite skimpy for the price, and most places I go to give garlic paste as a condiment, instead of making you choose it as your side. The kebabs/ lule are juicy, but don't have that open-grill/flame taste like traditional Armenian or middle eastern preparation style. The sides are a complete joke in my honest opinion. You get maybe 4 forkfuls of salad, and not much of a spread to use. Not much pita bread either. Extremely skimpy on the portions especially the rice. Guys, it?s dinner time and I want a dinner. Rice is cheap and this portion is less than I?d expect in a lunch bowl at chipotle. Chicken was seasoned and cooked nicely. The Lule kabob was very salty and had a gummy almost sausage like texture. Overall below average kabob spot that could be much better with a few improvements.
Needed a clean, low fat/carb/gluten meal and these folks delivered. Perfectly cooked chicken and a delicious dry salad. Yum, yum and they took the time to cook the chicken to just done and still moist. Ima be back fo sho. Ate here again just now and I think this joint is actually getting better. Ordered chicken and lamb kabob w/salad and hummus. Lights out good!!
This is a new branch. Soft opening. Perfect distance to JPL. Food came out hot and fresh! The boregs were also served very hot! Yummy. We looked the sandwiches so much we ordered 4 more to go. We got there place to ourselves and we thoroughly enjoyed the food. Must try!
Horrible... takes 20+ minutes for a kabob plates ... took 10 minutes for a beef wrap... and the beef was chewy and precook .. like yesterday food... overall... don't even try ... head over to Mediterranean cafe on pasadena ... on lake ave ... so much better
I just get two plates spent 35 bucks and they just give me one garlic sauce and when I ask for extra one they want to charge extra dollar, that's not fair and I dislike de service
