My mother was a paying customer at this place. It was a Friday night and she asked the owner Eddie if she could leave her car there overnight due to consuming alcohol at HIS BUSINESS. She showed up the next day and her car was gone. She was informed they called her car to get towed even though she had permission to park it overnight. I am handicapped. I went to pick my kids up at dance and mma classes. There were no handicapped spots or regular spots on the street. I saw an empty lot with at least 15 open parking spots in it so I parked. I came out to my car getting towed with 2 crying kids. The tow truck driver told me that the restaurant manager called on me. I went inside to speak to him but the servers said there was nobody there. He was hiding in the back like a coward. He finally came out and started yelling at me. Additionally, I had an issue after visiting a nearby store for just a minute. When I returned to my car, it was being towed. The explanation I received was that if you're parked there and not dining at their restaurant, they’ll have your car towed. It appears that they are profiting not just from food sales but also from deals made with the towing company. If they think this approach will be sustainable, they're mistaken.
In conclusion, I will not be returning and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone!
Listen, everyone has there own good or bad experience. Truth be told not every chef or cook is on his or her A game or it could even be a new chef. There's multiple reasons why you might've had a bad experience. Food wise or service. This is my second time ordering (haven't dined in person yet) and the food is phenomenal. So I can only imagine when I dine in at cafe capri. 2nd time me and my gf had the spaghetti carbonara and penne al a vodka. Both times we were very impressed!
Cafe Capri is small gem of an Italian restaurant in East Rutherford .it's been there for years. I go there often. I especially love the marinara pizza which has fresh tomato slices and fresh garlic.Keep in mind that this pizza has no cheese,but all their pizzas are good.Also try the ricotta cheese cake ,it is the best and has coconut.
The restaurant has a lovely ambiance, but the service could be friendlier and more attentive to customer needs. The food doesn't really feel like authentic Italian cuisine and was not particularly impressive.

The food is quite pricey, and when you settle the bill, they only provide a receipt that shows the total amount, leaving you unsure about what you are actually paying for.
One of our favorite places! Staff is always welcoming and friendly! The food is so fresh and delicious! Atmosphere and music are pleasant!
