Jocelyn (sorry if I spelled your name wrong) took our order this afternoon. She was so patient with my fiance and I while we perused the menue. She even offered to give her suggestions. Her kindness and comforting soul made us feel so welcome. We ordered a steak and portobello crepe, a Milano crepe and French toast crepe to share. My fiance got a chai tea late with espresso and I got an espresso. When I tell you this experience lit up a part of our souls that we have been searching for, is an understatement. This place is awful, we ordered 3 different things. The first one is the Monte Cristo benedict, it came looking gross and there was a lot of questionable things including pink stuff on the eggs. It was disgusting and disappointing. The bread was soggy and gross and we ended up just throwing the whole thing away. The second thing we ordered was a Ham and Swiss panini, there was cheddar and not swiss. It also had a different kind of meat. The next thing we ordered was a breakfast sandwich. It was very mediocre, nothing special. Along with that I sat and waited for 45 minutes for them to tell me I got my order wrong. The food is gross. The staff is rude. This place has a lot going for it. Nice location, cute building, independently owned... I was excited to find something local. The food was pretty good. However if you are particular about your coffee and value well made espresso drinks and good baristas, it doesn't seem like this place is it. The staff were friendly and pleasant, but seemed sort of clueless about coffee. The coffee I was served was awful and took 15 minutes to get to the table. I was unimpressed. If you just want an oversweetned coffee with a nice crepe in a cozy setting, this place seems pretty good. However, like many coffee shops in Utah, the coffee is marginal.
My fiance and I went there on a rainy day hoping to find a good, cozy spot to enjoy hot drinks, good food, and a nice atmosphere. We were not disappointed. The serving sizes were great! The food had an amazing balance of flavors and a wide selection. It was the best chai latte that I've ever had. The staff were patient and great to work with. They even apologized for a wait even though we felt that we had hardly waited. They are thoughtful and deserve to be proud of what they built. I'm definitely going back and I'm going to be bringing more people with me.
I like this place, however, communication to customer is not good. I also, don't believe anyone that works around food should wear a Tank Top, gross!!! Doughnuts are in a refrigerator, employee does not know the flavors, nor are they labeled. Food is good, wipcream is from a can. food is fine, but the service was pretty bad the owner seemed annoyed we were there and that she had to take our order. While we were waiting for our food, she was so mean to the only other kid working. the place is so cute so it’s really disappointing that our experience wasn’t good.
