My family was rudely asked to leave after we received and notified the owner that the crab cakes weren’t fresh and the gumbo tasted a bit burnt. He became very argumentative and ranted about how the crab cakes were made “this week.” Mind you we dine in on a Saturday so that means they might have been prep at the beginning of the week. They tasted funky and fishy. The gumbo was burnt no justification for it. We asked for something else and he told us to “leave it all” with a nasty attitude (meaning to leave his establishment). We did not argue we just left. I will not patronize this place!!! Very rude owner, terrible customer service, horrible food!
Second time was just as good! Found this place by luck and met Paul who was helpful with the menu suggestions. Ordered a lager beer with the Cajun Trio consisting of Jambalaya, Creole Gumbo and Rice Beans, and paired it with Fried Green Tomatoes. Everything was delicious. The restaurant is nicely decorated, spacious and very clean. Highly recommend for Cajun Foodies!
My husband and I recently moved to the area and this is our favorite spot to eat. The food is not only phenomenal but the owner is so friendly and personable. Talk to him awhile and learn about the history of the restaurant! You feel incredibly welcomed and taken care of every time you come in. We love it! Ps- Get the deep fried meatloaf and thank me later.
Delicious food, wonderful customer service from the owner and fast service... we had the fried green tomatoes, gator bites, jambalaya, catfish and bread pudding. Don't just walk—RUN to this place! As soon as you step inside, you're greeted by the mouthwatering aroma of amazing food. This restaurant truly exceeded my expectations. It was so delicious that I didn't even manage to take a photo!
I had the most disappointing dirty rice I've ever eaten at this restaurant. I requested to have it removed from my bill, but they refused, so I won't be returning.
The food was amazing, the hostess was wonderful, and the English owner was fantastic. The dishes were so delicious that they brought tears to my eyes!
