This Tandoori takeaway opens at 4:30 pm which made it ideal for an impromptu supper for our family after a busy day at work and in schools. The food itself was clearly labelled and well wrapped So still hot on arrival and easily served. And it was absolutely delicious. Spices were balanced, and it was not overloaded with food colourings. The salad was crisp and my egg fried rice not over oiled. I’m impressed that they were so aware of food intolerance issues. The whole family voted the spread ‘one of the best’! Looked online to make a order, website says it was ‘open’. I made my order and paid £25 for an order for two. Ordered perfectly easily, and payment went through. Received an email saying order was pending and a further email would be sent. My order was placed at 5.30pm, no further information was sent. Tried calling a number of times from 5.50 6.10, with no answers (don’t bother with the chat, they aren’t even there). Left at 6.10 to go to the shop to see what was happening, only to receive an email saying my order was rejected as the place was temporarily closed. This was not displaced anywhere on the website!!!! Now I am out of pocket £25 and have to wait 5 days for the refund. Shocking an...
Awful, cold food... .. We can't believe how awful this meal was.. went to the European menu to buy whole chicken and chips for children £6.50, they delivered a small Tandoori leg with a handful of chips) When i phoned up to complain the girl said that is what we ordered, no apology, i said when i ordered i asked her if was a whole chicken, she said YES, Tandoori from the European menu ? If i wanted Tandoori i would of ordered from the Indian Menu. Food was cold, No real taste, waste of money. DO NOT USE THIS RESTAURANT ... Could buy better from Tesco Indian Takeaway.
We placed an order by telephone as the online ordering was cumbersome. Ordering was straightforward and we awaited delivery. It took a while but that was ok as we were warned. Found that the two chicken tikka masala had become lamb! A shame as the rest of the food was good. We phoned to explain and were almost accused of telling lies! We were asked to call the manager’s mobile but that went to voicemail and 24 hours later we still await the courtesy of a return call. First and last time as customers. Not recommended.
Amazing surprise opening this. I requested a happy birthday at the door as it was my partners birthday and they did all this and even put in a card. That is top service. Will order again. Only thing is they gave it to my neighbour. I had my neighbour coming round saying the delivery driver gave it to them and just went without checking. He had to find the receipt to check what house to give it too. Never mind would still go back!
Myself and my husband have had a couple of takeaways from Calne Tandoori and the food is excellent. Indian curry’s being my favourite food I have tried many an Indian restaurant and this by far my favourite. If you want a good curry don’t hesitate to give this place a try as it won’t disappoint. Very polite staff and even in very busy times they still do there best to deliver your food as quick as they possibly can!
I have used this restaurant before last year but this year I have ordered deliveries twice through Just Eat which the restaurant has cancelled on both occasions without communication or reason. I have tried to call them but they don't answer. They clearly are not interested in providing a service. Its a shame, the food is good, but if they don't want customers, then sobeit.
Took over 2 hours to be delivered. The driver even drove off once he arrived without calling to check he was at the right location. Was misding a dish, called and the service was appalling as they actually hung up. No refund, no alternative and no apology. My tikka masala tasted like a ragu. Stay away from this Indian, as it is an absolute shambles.
We think this takeaway is far, far better than the 2 in Calne centre. We like really spicy food which we can get from here. Also the dishes are not full of onion filler. Never had any problems with delivery. Dahl from here is really good.
