My recent dining experience at this restaurant was extremely disappointing. From the outset, the service was poor. The staff appeared disinterested and indifferent, leading me to question their commitment to customer satisfaction. It took an exceptionally long time for anyone to take our orders, bring our food, or provide water refills throughout the meal. Adding to the frustration, the manager's attitude was downright disrespectful. Instead of addressing our concerns, the manager acted rudely and seemed to take pleasure in belittling us. Their lack of professionalism was disheartening and left a negative lasting impression. The wait for our food was excruciatingly long, and when it finally...
Our family had a private room. Service was a little slow, but understandable given the size of our group. Food was good. But what offended me as that while I was in the ladies room, 2 male staff members came in to change the paper towels. Nobody knocked or said hey anyone in there? , nothing. I came out of the stall and they completely ignored me, like it was perfectly okay for 2 men to be in the ladies room. When I mentioned it to the hostess, she acted surprised, walked toward the ladies room, but then when I was going up the stairs back to the dining room, saw that she walked right back to her post, having done nothing about the men in the ladies room. Truly was not impressed.
My husband invited me at Calvi Bistro for Valentine supper. Upon arrival, I was a little apprehensive as the decor was somewhat unexpected....an impressive fuxsia colour lit dome ceiling in a rather cold environment...however it was the food and the service that I was really impressed by! The Icelandic halibut was served on a wonderful bed of quinoa risotto, aged balsamic sauce and olive tapanade. Woww! It was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. One of the best dishes I had in along time. Bravo to the chef!! We will definitely return soon. Lina
We hosted our family Christmas dinner at Calvi. We has a private room to accommodate 20 people. The quality of the meal was excellent and the service was friendly and flawless. All our family were delighted with the experience. We will do this again.
