We were visiting Harrogate for my fiancée 's birthday but unfortunately Haks (our favourite Chinese was closed for the week. I saw that the Cambridge Café had good feedback so we took a stroll up there. We got there at 6pm. There was a man and a woman inside who were obviously the owners and their kids were sat at a table eating. The door however had closed written on it and that they were only taking Just Eat orders. While on holiday at our caravan, we decided to order takeout from this restaurant. We were surprised to find out that they use Just Eat for delivery. When we arrived to pick up our order, the lady explained that the cafe closes at 4pm and they only do takeout orders after that time through Just Eat. We ordered crispy duck, king prawn curry with egg fried rice, and chicken chow mein. The food was absolutely delicious and the flavors were top-notch, like something you would expect from a high-end restaurant. We would definitely order from here again and would love to dine in when the cafe is open. It's not the cheapest takeout option, but you definitely get what you pay for in terms of quality...
The Cambridge Cafe is a very popular place for those in the know. From the outside it looks like a tea shop for old ladies but looks are very deceptive. The first ime I visited I ordered from the English menu; only after realising that there was an extensive Chinese menu! The staff are friendly and helpful and will discuss the menu and adapt the dishes to your liking; if you can't see it on the menu just ask. It's very popular with the local Chinese and the food is as close to genuine Chinese cuisine as I have come across. In other words not adjusted to the local palate as most places do.
We called in for lunch yesterday and we weren't disappointed as the foods are AMAZING!! The owner even accommodate our request that they don't quite have in the menu. As living locally it's impossible to get proper Chinese foods unless going into Leeds but Cambridge cafe is definitely best Chinese in town. The owner and the lady who looking after our table also kind to my little dog. We will definitely going back.

Once again, we were completely ignored for a long time. Customers who came in after us were served immediately. One couple even left because of the poor service, while another had to ask multiple times for their drinks. Another table was also debating on leaving. The restaurant really needs to hire more staff during lunch hours. Additionally, lower prices are needed for a cafe like this.
The Cambridge Café is not very prepossessing from the inside or outside but the freindly staff more than make up for the decor. Excellent service , reasonable prices we treated ourselves to fish finger sandwiches and they were delicious and looking at some of the Chinese dishes that were brought out and the aroma I will try a specialty next time .
I had a great experience with Cambridge Cafe after a failed delivery from Just Eat. The restaurant helped me with getting a refund and a kind young lady from the restaurant personally delivered my order. Their service was truly unbelievable and the 2 course meal was absolutely delicious.
Roast duck and pork with delicious vegetables and fried rice. It was excellent and the portions were huge. The service was pleasant and quick. My friends chose from the English menu and they loved their fish and chips. We will certainly be back again.

called hear by chance but was not disapointed with the food,we both had the chow mein which was the best i have had for a long time,the service was very good and attentive will definately come back next time in harrogate delicious
The best full English breakfast I've ever had from any cafe in Yorkshire. Huge portions, freshly cooked and 5 star service.
