We've lived in Preston for 9 years and we always drive by the Cambridge Restaurant and say, "we should really give that place a try". And we FINALLY did...and now we're kicking ourselves for having missed out on this awesome little place for so long. We've eaten there three times now, breakfast lunch and dinner and all of the meals were excellent. The service is great, the beer on tap selection is ample and the daily specials are fun and delicious. The baked goods are fabulous and the vintage pictures of Preston on the walls are charming. Perfect little diner in downtown Preston part of Cambridge.The two of us had breakfast, delivered hot, with a refillable coffee for total bill of $23.Breakfasts were: daily special (2 eggs/sausage), with an extra egg. Omelette with extra vegetables.We were both pleasantly surprised by the breakfast being as good as it was and as plentiful as it was.Service was attentive. Not too much, just right, with coffee filled when needed and bill delivered upon request.The fun part of this diner is the pictures of old Preston which line the wall. The regulars saying "hi" to each other. The place is clean, the service and food are great. we'll be back.
Cambridge Restaurant is a great little place that serves wonderful home cooked meals. We stopped in for breakfast this past weekend and had a great breakfast for a very reasonable price. There's a little bit of everything on the menu and you won't be disappointed. I ordered my classic Canadian breakfast of back bacon and scrambled eggs and everything was cooked to perfection. Stop in to Cambridge Restaurant for a good home cooking if you're in the area.
I wanted to find a restaurant with all day breakfast that was not a franchise. I found this restaurant on Yelp and had the best breakfast at noon haha and great price for all the food I ordered.Service was friendly and quick .... will definitely come back for breakfast. 10 friends showed up for brunch during the week. Coffee cups never empty and service prompt and correct. Everyone liked what was ordered and any changes or extras asked for accommodated without question. We all agreed to try this restaurant again, maybe for lunch so that we can have some of those great looking desserts.
been here for breakfast, lunch and dinner. food is great and good portions. priced right. although, your experience will be determined by your server. some good some not so good. food takes awhile to prepare but worth the wait. enjoy!
Diner style basic foods with a good pie selection. Reasonably priced. I had the butchers breakfast a little greasey but too be expected for bacon sausage and peace ealing bacon diner.
