Campanile Bordeaux Le Lac

Pleasantly surprised by the quality of this hotel. We had to stay here after delays meant that our campsite was closed. For the large total of 65ish Euro, the rooms are quite cozy, beds were comfortable, modern furniture, blackout blinds, quiet, good shower, modern bathroom suite, air conditioning. We couldn't find anything we complained about. We ate in the restaurant, for which we didn't have much hope. Hot buffet, probably the most beautiful Bratbeef I had in a while, good veg selection, little homemade ratatouille was delightful. Large selection of wines, beautiful local white carafe for 7 euros. Breakfast was exactly what we needed, pastries and meat and cheese on a buffet, fruit select...

The exterior of this place is not particularly pleasant. However, reception man (maxime) was extremely pleasant and helpful. Our room was on the first floor and we were somewhat sceptical as it looked very easy at first glance what it was, but it was warm, cozy and extremely clean. Even the boiler had been decalcified. The bathroom was perfect. Lots of light and good size. The bed was amazing. So comfortable and large and good bed linen has been provided. We had a great night. Would you stay here if we were in the area?

24 h Reception Staff were nice and spoke good English. The room was good, very clean. The highlight for me was the hairdryer Is difficult to find a decent one that doesn't take 3 h to dry long hair in a hotel! Breakfast wasn't that good for the price (9.99€ . I wouldn't have bought it if I knew what was included. The restaurant staff did not speak english at all and was a bit difficult to understand each other.

Our best choice to stay in Bordeaux, clean and decent accommodation. Guests can enjoy a continental buffet in the morning. And we will be in stock and plentiful

Wonderful breakfast spread. Dinner choices were a bit limited but overall a good experience
