My Ethiopian single origin espresso went something like this: Massive sourness (this goes on for a while) A quick floral note (beautiful flavour, but lasts only for a second) Horrible sourness returns along with some saltiness Strange bitterness Quick finish I did not get any sweetness, there was no complexity. It tasted like not enough flavour was taken out of coffee. Such a shame and waste of good quality coffee beans. The staff seem nice and the cafe takes social distancing/health+safety seriously.
I stumbled across this place by accident on my way back from a business trip and was tempted in by the unassuming and welcoming nature of the exterior. What I found inside was some of the most delicious coffee I've ever had, served with a smile, a tasty lunchtime snack and staff more than happy to offer a rookie like me some valuable grinding and brewing advice. Would love to revisit one day.
great coffee, fab service, super reliable, my fave coffee in london. I have ordered bags from caf as well as decaf as well as auto travelers since the beginning of the first 2020 lock without changing plans. they also have the highest percentage of Decaf coffee for those who really cannot have caffeine for health reasons. Having researched beforehand, this shop advertised having WiFi and laptop areas. I checked this again when ordering coffee but the WiFi was ‘secured but unavailable’ after I entered the password. This was the case for both my phone and laptop. When I asked for help I got a shrug, had to leave my coffee to go somewhere else to get some work done
good food and coffee for cheap trips. had the banan bread that was roasted with butter, which was nice (remembers to use the jam! . also had the avocado with smoked salmon, which was very good, but think they were the best granola! also try the filtered coffee.
best coffee in east finchley without doubt! excellent roasted banana bread and the staff are always happy. dog-friendly also, which is an additional bonus.

Amazing takes coffee to another level. The only problem is, once you try Campbell Syme, coffee from any other place becomes a disappointment
