We came across Can Cava by accident on our walk down to the beach, after a long Monday at the office.We ended up having one of the most fabulous, and entirely unexpected, Monday evenings out, with delicious food and wine, and learning about pintxos!We indulged with gorgeous Spanish wine, white anchovies, tuna tartare, grilled octopus, spiced meatballs, mini fuet, chorizo de Pamplona, Jamón Serrano, and alfajores with Pedro Ximenez ... the quality of the produce used and the flavours of the finished dishes are outstanding.The service was friendly and flawless, making it a perfect experience. We will be back here before long with friends!
Bondi has some great places but Can Cava takes the cake! The atmosphere is so great, the waiters are Spanish and the food is better than in Spain! You very quickly forget you're actually in Bondi. We pretty much ate our way through the menu and every dish was as amazing as the last. It's our new favorite restaurant, hands down. I went to Can Cava with friends on a recent trip to Sydney. It was all round excellent from the authentic and delicious food, the wine, the set up and the staff were super helpful and sweet (and Spanish). I've never had pintxos before and now I cannot wait to have it again! My favourite was the tuna ceviche chip. Yum. Can't wait to go back on my next Sydney trip.
Just what Bondi needed, a casual yet fab wine bar with delicious and authentic Spanish food to top it off. Staff are very friendly, attentive and know their stuff. Tried almost every dish on the menu and can't fault it. Although I especially loved the chickpea frite & tuna tartare finished off with a glass of vino blanco! Yum!

I am from Spain and I can confirm that the pinxtos at Cancava are truly authentic. Amazing quality food, beautiful presentation, delicious dishes and the staff are brilliant. Fantastic meats and cheeses just like Spain! New favourite restaurant in Sydney! Thank you Cancava
The best sangria is Sydney. Interesting food but a vary limited food menu. More tapas than a man meals. The atmosphere and the service are excellent. The prices are very reasonable
Stopping in on a Thursday night for some take away, I was amazed that even tho the entire restaurant was EMPTY I was turned away as my order for one did not
The food, location, wine and the service was really good. It was a bit pricey, but it was worth it! If you're into tapas and wine, this is the place to go.
