we came for a date night, always brilliant when a restaurant open table so already to a great start. have fast great atmosphere inside in this fantastic range of broad ripple. we got the rehearsal plate for appetizer that was fantastic with tons of food. we also have beef-shawarma plate and a gyro sandwich plate. tabouli salat was fresh, great textures and delicious. the hummus and the pita that comes is amazing, can not get enough, but have space for all foods that they receive with their meal. the French fries with feta cheese were amazing. all the time our service was impeccable and our waiter was super friendly. for dessert we had some of the most amazing and freshest baklava I've ever h...

First of all, like many restaurants in Broad Ripple, this place has a fantastic atmosphere. They offer patio seating right by the water, so if the weather is nice, be sure to sit outside. Fortunately, the food at Canal Bistro matches the beautiful setting. They have a wide range of vegetarian and vegan choices. I chose the stuffed peppers (as shown in the picture) with tabouli as my side salad, and both were quite satisfying. The sauce on the peppers was a bit sweet, but I actually appreciated it because the dish was so well roasted. Lovely Mediterranean bistro with plenty of seating indoors and outside. I had the Mediterranean Beach cocktail with coconut rum, pineapple juice and a splash of champagne and it tasted tropical and refreshing. I ordered the stuffed grape leaves and canhonestly say they were the best I have tasted! Served slightly warmed with dipping sauce. My entree was the Shawarma salad withchicken. The chicken serving was generous and included the house dressing as well as a side of the garlic sauce. The chicken wastender and so flavorful! The house made garlic sauce was light and fluffy with an egg white base and garlic flavor. It wasdelicious! Server Hayley was the best!

I adore lamb racks. Have lamb racks, I'll be there! And Canal Bistro has one of the best and most beautiful lamb racks I've ever savored. It's now my go-to place in Indianapolis for lamb because it's a good portion at a fair price and comes with rice. I'mAsian... rice is life! All that we ate was delicious. Great service too. This was my second visit to Canal Bistro, and everything was just as excellent as the first time. The Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cuisine is beautiful, accompanied by attentive service. The atmosphere is pleasant, and the owner is very friendly and helpful when it comes to finding parking. I had the lamb kafta sandwich, and it was both delicious and filling.

The customer service was outstanding—everyone was very friendly and consistently offered to refill our drinks. They served delicious pita bread with dipping oil. I had the gyro plate and a salad, and it was fantastic. We’re definitely going back! It was quite chilly when we visited, but they have a terrace with a great view of the canal.

The food here is outstanding. The stuffed baby eggplant and moussaka are both delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant.
