The food is amazing. We use to go to their sister restaurant Randall cafe that is no longer open. We wanted their chillaquilles because no one makes it the way they do. Cancun cafe did not disappoint. The steak was cooked to perfection and seasoned amazing. Their green sauce is really really good. Their service is just ok but honestly I didn't go for the service. As long as I get what I need and no one is being rude I'm fine. The food was 5 stars. However, we ordered 2 chillaquilles plates with skirt steak and we paid $57. That is why I have 4 stars. I wasn't expecting that price which is why I gave it 4 stars. The upcharge to add steak at their prior restaurant was $3.99 but here it's $9. I...
I just placed an order thru Cancun's website using Chow Now. I'm home sick, so my husband went in to pick it up. They refused to give my husband the food because they wanted a screenshot or confirmation of the order. 15 minutes later, I couldn't figure out how to find my order again to send it to him. They finally released the food to him. Good grief, my husband offered to show ID so they could see our names matched. They finally agreed. Terrible customer service, and the man was extremely rude to my husband. Apparently they have cases where people are coming in and picking up other people's food. Amazing how that happens because you'd need to know the person's name ordering. Give me a break...
I don't understand the high ratings of this place. The service was good but the food was terrible. We tried several different options at our table and none us liked it. At best it was bland and non eventful, at worse it was absolutely disgusting and inedible. I hate to give negative ratings but they definitely need to invest some time in learning how to season. omg! absolutely love this place! the personal is so friendly. the owner always comes out and says hello. they go into and eat smells amazing and the taste is even more amazing. you are the most authentic Mexican restaurant everywhere. Food is good . service is horrible . restaurant was empty on a sunday at 4:20pm Server never came back to check on us . we needed napkins , water refilled etc. I waited for my check . Eventually i just want up to pay. Paid cash. Cashier said we don't have change. How are you running a business so below expectations.
