As a native Staten Islander, I usually don't frequent restaurants on this side of the island. However, I recently tried Canlons for the first time on September 16, 2023 with my wife and another couple. Despite being an old school style eatery, we were pleasantly surprised by the delicious food and extensive menu. The waitress was friendly, efficient, and attentive. Overall, we had a great experience and will definitely be returning to Canlons. I highly recommend it to friends and family.
Had a wonderful dinner tonight, yes we went to purchase a gift certificate for friend for Christmas. Food was wonderful and young servers was very friendly. We do go every year . So we have a wonderful meal and get a Christmas gift at same time. Also bumped into long time friends. That's Staten Island for you. We were so full that we didn't order dessert but so thankful for the brownies they gave us. They were the best I've had and I'm a baker . Hometown restaurants are the best.
I waited until my second visit to write this review to ensure my first experience was not a fluke. Now I can confidently say that this restaurant serves the best steak sandwich I have ever had, anywhere. This alone would keep me coming back. Additionally, the other menu items are also excellent (the pasta dish was as delicious as those in fine Italian restaurants). The service was outstanding as well.
Service is fine, the food is not that good. Looks like they fry with the same oil for several days, so fry food is too dark. The menu doesn't have a good variety of dishes it's a small menu. Prices are good, and waitresses are very polite. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
I dined with a group of 10 people and everyone loved their meals. Most of us opted for the prix fixe menu. The ice cream brownie dessert was amazing. The restaurant was a little noisy.
terrible customer service and relationships. I put up a pick-up job and when I got homework, I was missing. I called and said I could come back.
Went for lunch...Great family-owned spot! Yummy food, Excellent service, good drinks very down-to-earth vibeee. Will definitely be going back.
