Cantaberry is a great little restaurant on town square, in Downtown Ellijay that serves upscale sandwiches, soups, and desserts. We stopped in on a cold, rainy day and were seated immediately by a friendly hostess and wait staff. My wife had the French dip sandwich with chicken wild rice soup and I had the grilled cheese sandwich with tomato basil soup. Everything we had was excellent. The tomato soup caught me off guard a little bit as it's more of a bisque, creamy and sweeter than I expected. That's not a complaint, for the record. Our family of 5 enjoyed lunch so much- the gf Cuban, gf chicken sandwich, burgers, ff, sweet potato fries- we went back for dinner 2 days later. Dinner was outstanding!! Prime rib special was priced well, plentiful and delicious, gf chicken salad was the best I’ve ever had, gf Cantaberry was great too. We also had slices of pie- Oreo cheesecake, Reece’s cheesecake, and a slice of red velvet cake. All were truly delicious! The food here is absolutely amazing! The staff was so knowledgeable and friendly. Great selection of food to choose from. Their daily soup selection is amazing and clearly the soups are made from scratch. They have a great selection of desserts, including the peanut butter cheesecake I tried. That cheesecake was truly incredibly delicious. I had cream of chicken and wild rice soup and it was so great. I also had the turkey chef salad which was extremely fresh and so yummy. My babe had a Cuban sandwich and she thought it was quite delicious. I highly recommend this place!!
Delicious. Really attentive and kind employees, Delicious draft hard apple cider beer that I must say pairs impeccably with the salad made with fresh Macintosh Apples and candied pecans on a bed of spinach with thinly sliced onions and raspberry vinaigrette. I will definitely be back, I thoroughly enjoyed myself and didn't spend an arm and a leg to do it. This was my first time visiting. We sat out on the patio. The soups and sandwiches at this restaurant are absolutely delicious, and the servers are friendly. The atmosphere is nice as well. Our group ordered the honey turkey club, reubens, chicken wild rice soup, and tomato soup, and all were hot, fresh, and tasty. The children's dishes, grilled cheese on thick wheat bread and cheeseburgers, were also delicious. The service was quick, and we will definitely return when we are in the area.
Had some filled mushrooms to start and they were some of the best I had. My buddy ordered land fried steak with potatoes and I ordered the meat with green beans and squash casrole. The CFS was excellent, crispy and well seasoned with a white engraving and the potatoes were superb. The green beans and squash casseroles were well cooked and delicious. The meat store was good, but was overshadowed by everything I had eaten tonight.
The food at this restaurant was excellent! I ordered the country fried steak and my friend had the Thanksgiving chicken special. I would give it a rating of 4 out of 5 because the cheese sticks appetizer was tasty, although the Marinara dipping sauce had a slightly different flavor, but still delicious. We would definitely recommend this place! The potatoes were clearly homemade and the Mac n cheese was baked to perfection.
We ended up choosing Cantaberry restaurant randomly because our original choice was closed. But we were pleasantly surprised by the delicious food. They offer a lovely variety of sandwiches, salads, and soups. I tried the spinach salad with raspberry vinaigrette dressing and the small portion was perfect for a filling lunch. I was in Ellijay for Christmas. There were very few restaurants open due to the holiday weekend, but this restaurant handles the rush really well. And there are multiple people in our party oh, but they got every order right and the food came promptly. Everything tasted great, my niece has raved about how good the soup was. The desert was huge.
