The most horrible service. They handed me the lunch menu, when I asked for the dinner menu, waitress rudely threw it on my table. I asked for water with no ice and a straw. Waiter brought me water with ice and no straw. When I asked for a straw, waiter threw a straw on my table. My usual waitress saw me sit down, but she chose to attend another party that arrived after me. I usually tip this waitress between $10 and $15. This waitress started smiling at me when I was ready to pay my bill. She followed me to the cashier and started to apologize that the lunch crowd was busy. I told her that it was not busy. Canton House is a phenomenal Dim Sum restaurant! I have been here several times throughout the years, and more recently on Father's Day. It was a packed restaurant, but the food and service were still top notch. The Dim Sum here is authentic, delicious, and are pushed around via service carts (the best kind of Dim Sum)! The restaurant has traditional seafood restaurant banquet hall vibes, and is not far from the BuckHead Bars (10 min drive). I love coming here after a night of drinking and enjoying authentic Dim Sum. Great place to take family, dates, or friends! An absolute must try!
This place was actually pretty good. I went with 8 other people. Service was fine everything was fine. We got the bill and we noticed the gratuity right away. We were like there’s no way they gratuity 40% tip… Because my family works at a family restaurant and that’s def pretty high for grat I don’t know if they do this a lot to other people but I just want you guys to be careful and check your bill But overall this place was fine
We've been going to Canton House on and off meeting family for dim sum period probably 10-15 years or so. My last visit this past Sunday morning was just phenomenal. They have really picked up their game. Just amazing food everything was fresh hot there's a couple waiters that provide amazing service there. I've had Dim Sum in various continents, countries, and different cities in the US. Dim Sum can be amazing. Unfortunately, don't expect an amazing experience at Canton House. It wasn't terrible... its was just bland. Flavorless. Nothing special. Totally forgettable. Will not be returning.
Love coming here! Great prices! Best to come on the weekend for brunch when it is busy, but also good to come during the week for fast service and more one on one attention from your waitress. They honestly have hard working people here. Best bang for your buck if you order all dim sum.
I've been here many times, this was the only time I've been disappointed. Perhaps going on a crowded weekend during the lunch rush wasn't a good idea. Some of the food was cold not very flavorful. I'll return, but on a weekday next time.
