For a white table cloth dining experience, I expected more. Service was average at best. There is nothing to write home about but not the bottom of the barrel. The restaurant was not busy, yet our water glasses ran empty, plates and silverware not cleared from the table, and wine glasses for the table were not given. (We had a bottle of wine for the table) The restaurant was humid and very warm. I am not sure if the AC was working. Then there were flies and fruit flies that we were, pretty consistently, swatting. A great gem located in the Argenta district. House made bread was delicious and nicely seasoned. Great wine selection. Very clean and has friendly, knowledgeable staff who can make superb recommendations. The only aspect which felt “off” to me from practically every other Italian restaurant was the background music choice. Usually it’s either Italian music or a classic like Sinatra or Martin, but this was 80s pop. Wouldn’t stop me from going back, just detracted ever so slightly from the otherwise great atmosphere.
I thought going in what better place to get a delicious pizza than an Italian restaurant. I ordered the Margarita expecting the pizza to be covered in large slices of tomatoes. Instead there were sliced grape tomatoes and only two three halves per slice on this large pizza!! What Italian restaurant has no fresh tomatoes? It was lacking on sauce and do not recommend they leave pizza on the menu if that’s the best they have to offer.
Really cool little restaurant and the food was great. I don't live in Little Rock and I was traveling for work. I ordered fettuccine and salad to go and it was perfect. Came in a large group and as always did not disappoint! We had people from all over for supper and everyone loved it. The service was excellent as usual. I went with a fillet this visit and it was fantastic. Calamari is cooked perfectly. Can't sayenough about this place.
Everyone says this place is great. I think this was just an off night. Very little sauce on the pasta. Mostly a bowl of dry pasta. Soup was good though. Dessert torte was overcooked. I will try them again.
