I met a business associate for lunch, and made reservations. According to the restaurant listing (The staff will seat you even if you don't have reservations, but apparently the place is well known and well regarded so reservations are a good idea). The staff was very friendly and courteous (even gave me driving directions once I was close by, since I am new to the area and had never been there). I have never been treated quite as rudely as I was the night that seven friends and I went here for dinner. We were treated as if we were second class by the server and management. We left after a drink and looking over the menu. I have eaten in some fine restaurants, many in NYC, that were finer than this one. However, they were as they say in the south ;uppity ;, myself I considered their attitude pompous and self important. You want RUDE and impolite... then by all means go here for a meal. Take your friends so that they can experience it too. It was charming to be treated as if you were sitting below the salt. Everyone should have this feeling in a place they intended to spend an evening...
The waitress forgot the two sides that came with my meal. I reminded her and then she only brought one of them. I had to ask her for the second side again and did not get an apology when it was brought to the table. I had the vegetable pasta. It was buried in garlic. I think the wait staff should have warned me about ALL the garlic. It was almost a joke how much there was (several cloves worth). The waitress never asked if everything was okay. Water was rarely replenished. I am not excited to go back.
My husband and I went to the Chophouse for our anniversary and had a very pleasant experience. The mood was very romantic with the lit candle, the dimmed lights and the quiet music playing in the background. Our waiter was very nice and accommodating and the food was fabulous. All in all, the Chophouse comes highly recommended by both my husband and myself for any occasion.

10 years ago I visited this restaurant often for lunch or dinner and always remember quality and eating what was worth the prices. Not so much now. overall my visit last night “meh” was best. the quality has declined significantly.
great experience. the food and the service were as usual super. the menu had changed and the prices rose, but the inflation has influenced every area of life.
Great service and great food. She-Crab soup was wonderful. My wife enjoyed it all as well. Super staff that knows the food well.
excellent special filled mushroom appetizer, salmon and steak main courses and suppen! solid choice for drinks/wine!
