Right in the heart of Freo is this no-fuss little Italian restaurant with all the old favourites. I have been here a few years ago for a family lunch, and I returned on the weekend to see how it was. I arrived early on Saturday without a booking and was given a table near the window. They still offer complimentary bread and a choice of two soups. I went the complimentary chicken soup and the entrée sized ravioli alla panna e funghi. The soup arrived quickly and was hot and nice to start a meal. I had forgotten they were BYO only, but that explained all the patrons arriving with boxes and bottles; would have loved a glass of wine with my pasta. Great food, good size servings at a very reasonable price. Friendly staff (mother & daughter) and good service (even though they forgot my tea - LOL). We were seated quickly on arrival and offered complimentary soup. We order the grill flounder which covered the whole plate and the Misto mare of Scallops, squid & crumbed prawns deep fried, both came with either vegetables or salad. We shared the desert of sticky date pudding which was enough for 2 people. This is an old fashioned restaurant, with home cooked food and good service. We were there on Thursday for lunch & it was very busy, so may pay to book a table depending on when you go. Highly recommend.
Familienfreundliches Italiener, das Essen ist wie das Aussehen des Restaurants: Auf den ersten Blick nicht beeindruckend, liefert aber, wo es wichtig ist, dass Dienstleistungen und Lebensmittel wichtig sind. Die kostenlose Gemüsesuppe war ein großartiger Anlasser, zum ersten Mal hatte ich eine Gemüsesuppe, die ich Sekunden wollte. Die gegrillten Garnelen und der Squid kamen dann, weich und lecker. Wir runden mit etwas nicht sauglichen Marinara und Kalbfleisch auf. Beide versuchen einen Versuch. Würde definitiv wieder kommen :)
This Fremantle icon is a must. Lunch is from noon to 2 PM and in a fifties era restaurant you are treated to friendly efficient service. Initially the wait staff bring out some wonderful fresh crusty Italian bread. Then guests are offered a choice of complimentary soups before ordering meals from a comprehensive traditional menu.It is a byo restaurant, but there is a bottle shop at the Crown & Anchor, across the road.I don't recommend the restaurant to elderly or disabled people as the toilets are outside and down some steps.

Family friendly Italian, the food is like the restaurant's look: not impressive at first sight, but delivers where is matters in terms of service and food. The complimentary vegetable soup was a great starter, first time I had a vegetable soup that I wanted seconds. The grilled prawns and squid then came, soft and tasty. We rounded up with some non saucy marinara and veal. Both worth a try. Would definitely come again :)
The food was simple and amazing, it felt home cooked with passion. My friends and i enjoyed the company of the host. I had a mushroom ravioli while one of my friend had a seafood pasta and the other had a bolognese. Just dont forget the place is BYO ????
For desserts we had a tiramisu and sticky date pudding which wasnt to my liking but my friends liked it.
Loved Capri! Such a family friendly restaurant. I loved the fact they have a $10 children's set menu & the tablecloth is paper for drawing. Only downside was that the soup on the set menu had no vegetarian option. I ordered the spinach & ricotta ravioli and it was amazing. Very friendly service. Will definitely return????????
Was really good. As others have said you are offered a soup entree complimentary. We had cotoletta dishes & all were nice and thin and not chewy. A side of spaghetti bolognese was great too. A small authentically Fremantle ristorante which hasn't changed much since opening.

The restaurant has been run by the same family for 63 years. Excellent and very friendly service. Very good choices on the menu and everything is good. All freshly made. A BOY place - so not ripped off on the drinks. Desserts were also very nice. Will visit next visit
