Captain George has continued to be the BEST Seafood Restaurant in the Kawartha Lakes.... bar none!Tom (Captain George's wonderful and friendly Owner) has upped the quality of the Scallops from GOOD to GREAT!Stopped in today to try the Captain's Platter and, Oh My, the scallops were out of this world..... so fresh and sweet tasting. Tom has changed his supply source to get and serve you these new scallops.... they're YUMMM!Everything else is the same, including the same excellent Fast, Friendly, and Efficient Servers, and the best Halibut around.Try Some.... you'll love them.God Bless.
The mark of a Great Restauranteur is the ability to keep a Consistently High Level of Quality in the food that is presented to its patrons.Without a doubt, Owner Tom & Chef Brad continually plate up wonderful food.... each and every day. That is difficult to achieve, but they do it every time.The Halibut is fresh, firm, and sweet, and is the best I have ever had, anywhere.Go there and try it out, you will be pleased with the quality, and the value.AND, the Service is always. always, friendly and efficient.God Bless
First of all, this location is part of a small chain franchise---I've eaten at several locations. This location is the best of the ones I've tried, and is the one I go to most frequently. The staff are an absolute pleasure to deal with, and the cook REALLY knows how to please the patrons, whether it's take out or eat in (thanks Brad.) Prices are reasonable for fish and chips (again, halibut prices are not able to be controlled by the restaurants, therefore prices are not like going to the burger fast food places).
we called on the way to town to order take out - the lady said they closed t 8 pm but if we could get there quickly they would wait for us - we arrived at 7:55 and they put the fish and chips on then so they would fresh - they did not complain about being closed, or hum and sigh about waiting around - they young staff was friendly and efficient - they made out dinner fresh and to the usual perfection - thank you so much and kudos for your exceptional service - it was much appreciated Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
We have come to be habitual patrons at George's F&C.... mainly because of the constant excellent quality of the Seafood, very Friendly Owner (Tom), Chef Brad, and all the Waitresses (especially Sue & Vicky). Value is excellent, too.Those who come here, return again and again..... we see the same patrons, as everyone know it's a great place.Hats off to Tom for offering such a wonderful establishment !God Bless
Ordered take-out from here. Several fish dinners. The fries were not pleasant at all. None of the 4 of us liked them, so save your money. The fish was pretty good and crispy, but whatever oil they're using leaves a greasy film on the roof of your mouth. Their greek salad is great though.
Had to be the worst fish and chips I've had very small portion for the price, the awful taste that was left in my mouth from the cooking oil they use. The service wasn't very great. I'll never return

Fast friendly service on Saturday. Great halibut & fries. One piece of fish is plenty for most people. Resonably priced as well. Cute server.
