Das Carlisle Castle ist ein tolles Pub, wenn Sie nach einem lokalen Freundschaftsort für einen Getränk sind. Der Bistro hat leider in den letzten 6 Monaten die Hände geändert und von einem Ort gegangen, an dem Sie frisches modernes australisches Essen, gesundes und weniger gesundes, zu einem Kerlnahrung, Burger-Joint bekommen könnten.

Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, daher ist es ein echter Mitleid, dass ihr Essen nicht toll ist. Angesichts der großen Anzahl von Orten, die ein ähnliches Essen in Newtown servieren, ist dies leider eher derselbe und die Mitte der Straße.
the castle carlisle is a great pub when they are after a local friendly place for a drink. the bistro has unfortunately changed the hands in the last 6 months or so and went from a place where you could get fresh modern Australian food, healthy and a little less healthy, to a boring eating, burger joint. the staff are very friendly, so it is a real shame that their food is not great. In view of the large number of places that serve similar food in newtown, this is unfortunately more of the same and middle of the road.

in the quiet corner of albermarle and probert street in newtown has lost the popular carlisle castle bistro its youthfulness and radiance since the takeover of the club a year visibly. The rhythmic music and delicious bistro food were over. Apart from several regular (as I am) and other football soccer fans that are glued with the huge tvs around the pub, they can hardly see someone who slips on their tasteless junk food. How bad.

Read a review by 'Time Out'- same place that rated the number one club in Sydney that was coincidentally closed, that stated this place add 'odd'. YES it is odd this is the only place in Newtown that still encapsulates the old inviting feeling of Newtown. Where everyone is accepted. Amazing staff. Amazing locals. It should be a secret. But who's going to read this anyway.
Walking into the Carlisle Castle Hotel in Newtown was an adventure in itself. cute pub, it's a shame that eating is pretty average. Shorter menu with some pub classics would be better! Only need a passionate cook and white how to cook seasonal things properly! Kids meal times are the usual suspects expensive for what seems to be frozen.

Favourite place fish n chip.. low key pub, a must try also is their yummy haloumi salad, flavours of the chargrill comes through in the haloumi.. yumms
The food is always amazing! Never a disappointment.
