Excellent little Taco spot, from the second you walk in you are hit with amazing smells and know you are in for a treat. They are constantly making tortillas fresh to order takes it to the next level. As for the food highly recommend the Birria Tacos Delivious! The flavor of the smoked brisket was amazing, however the meat itself was a bit dry which was disappointing. The smoked chicken was also nice, however don?t waste your time just go for the Birria and the Asado trust me it?s legit. As for sides and toppings big disappointment that I didn?t get any limes with my tacos, shouldn?t even be a question of having to ask for it in my opinion. Carlito's is amazing! I first discovered them at Garden State Plaza and was immediately drawn in by the delicious aroma. When their food truck showed up at my building, I tried their Birria Quesa-Tacos, which are tortillas grilled with cheese that melts and sticks to the tortilla. It was so tasty! However, what truly won me over and elevated them from a 4-star to a 5-star rating was visiting their location, which offered additional menu items not available on the food truck... like NACHOS! I really enjoyed this restaurant, but they disappointed us by abruptly closing down. They opened during the pandemic, which was commendable. A young man informed us that they couldn't serve beef, but offered pork instead. We tried their corn queso and it was delicious. We went back multiple times, only to find them closed again with no explanation. It felt like they were playing with us for over a year. I won't speak poorly about the owners' other establishment, but I won't support any of their businesses in the future.
Just tried this place for the first time. I ordered 2 tacos, Carne Asada and Brisket. I went with the Carne first and it was insanely good. Couldn't believe it. It's a very cool franchise, I love the tortillas, they make them themselves, and you can order tacos with different flavors of meat, the birria ones are the best, and the dishes have enough food, and I've been to the one in Paramus and the one in Lyndhurst.
