The hotel was nice. I liked that it was across from the ocean so we were able to enjoy amazing sunsets by the cliff. We were able to walk on the cliff and enjoy the ocean views. It’s about a 7 minute walk to the beach from the hotel. We enjoyed the pool, the patio area, and playing Cornhole. The pool temperature was nice as it was a bit on the warmer side. Yet, there were no pool towels available. The hotel did a poor job of restocking the pool towels. I wish they had poolside service for drinks and appetizers. Also, it would be great if they had more pool seating. Parking is $22 per day. We called guest services for extra bath towels and an extra blanket on two different occasions. They wer...
This was by far one of the best stays we ever had. The ocean view was worth it. And the room was very clean. Squeaky clean bathroom, just the way we like it. This place was pleasantly luxurious. I was treated well as a diamond member, which I appreciate. The ocean is just across the street. There is a crosswalk. But note that we weren’t able to find any stairs or path to get down to the beach even after walking a quarter mile south. So we just climbed down the rocks to reach the beach, which wasn’t very crowded for a weekend. A couple minor points about the room: there were no stirrers for coffee in the room. Sugars were limited, too. The paid breakfast was good.
Although the staff was beyond nice, the hotel is in need of serious attention to a fly problem. UNCOVERED TRASH throughout the facility (by the pool, outside the front and in the back) made staying at this facility for a week a sad memory. Also the pool should be cleaned every day (was cloudy and dirty with balls of hair floating in the water). I was afraid to eat anything with the thought of the flies in the facility (yes in the restaurant area too). The location was amazing. Charge for parking is a bit steep I think next time I will have to look for a different place to stay.
Asked for room to be clean and new towels, instead room attendant left a dirty rag and 2 towels when we had a total of 4 people in the room. Tv and internet didn’t work so forget it about getting these to work. Only benefit to this place is the proximity to Legoland as this was the reason for this trip. I don’t think we will ever stay in this hotel nor Hilton per say.

While the food selection quality were fine, our waiter had a smart aleck attitude from the word go. Went on slow night, but staff didn't even notice we had an OpenTable reservation. Listing picture also misleading, as the ocean is a parking lot and 4 lane road away. Probably fine for patrons of the hotel, but wouldn't bother if it's a night out from home.
Being apart of Hilton honors- this hotel checks in with you via text periodically to ensure your stay is exceeding expectations. I really appreciate the customer service here and will recommend to others when they visit Carlsbad. Very quiet grounds and across from the beach. Has all the amenities you need to feel at ease.
We went to Easter brunch and were disappointed by the limited selection and mediocre quality of the food. The prices were too high considering the atmosphere and food quality. The service, however, was friendly and attentive.
The rib eye steak was incredibly tender and the salad with fresh Carlsbad strawberries was a delightful surprise! The food at this unassuming restaurant in a hotel lobby was unexpectedly delicious. We will definitely return.

Clean and fresh room. Service desk was helpful and friendly. Enjoyed our stay. We had to change our reservations and it was easy and quick. Even received an upgraded room with a great view. Will be sure to return.
The service was good, our waiter was friendly. The restaurant had a view of the ocean.
