Carluccio's - Tisch reservieren

I had lunch at this restaurant with my family before they had to catch their flight back home. Overall, we had a good meal, but there was a moment at the end that left a bitter aftertaste. When it came time to pay the bill, we were in a rush and didn't realize that a 12.5% service charge had not been included, as is common in most places. Because of this, I chose not to leave a tip. Unfortunately, by the time we realized our mistake, we didn't have any cash on us. We tried to quickly withdraw some money, but the waiter seemed upset that we had not left a tip and stormed off. I used to frequent this restaurant at least once a month when traveling from T5, and it was always a favorite spot of mine (shout out to Pradeep who used to work here). The food used to be consistently good and the service was friendly and fast. Unfortunately, over the past year, the quality has gone downhill. The meal I had last Sunday was the final straw for me. The food was tasteless, the portions were small, and I strongly believe that the pasta al fungi was served without any sauce. The mushrooms seemed overcooked and unappetizing. I left feedback on Carluccio's website on Sunday night but have yet to receive a response five days later.

We have visited Carluccio's at T5 regularly for years. Food, quality and service wise it is very good for breakfast, lunch or dinner. HOWEVER, I just found out that as on January 2020 the staff will ONLY receive 15% of any tip paid by credit card. This, in my opinion is unacceptable. Manager I look forward to hear how you can justify TAKING 85% of the staff tips?. From now please leave only Cash tips everyone. Otherwise you are just paying more money for your food. I will no longer give card tips.

I typically avoid eating at chain restaurants owned by corporations, but when it comes to airports, there are limited options. In my opinion, it would be difficult to find a more delicious brunch than the traditional breakfast offered here. The meal includes eggs on toast, mushrooms, bacon, sausage, tomatoes, and roasted potatoes, paired with high-quality coffee.

One of the best quality breakfasts I have had in an airport. Good variety of dishes, and good flavors. Recommended.
