As you walk in you feel very welcomed by the ambience. Staff were friendly but service was a little slow. I had to ask for table water twice. Everyone loved the food. I ordered the cabbage rolls which were delicious. Pizzas are average. They're tasty but not the best I've tried. The base is more of a bruschetta than authentic pizza.At the end of the night we were given free zeppole balls and a glass of port. Whilst this was a nice gesture, the zeppole balls were hard, definitely not fresh. They gave them away to other tables also. I think the choices were either to give away to patrons for free or throw them out at the end of the night. The glass of wine I chose was $9.50 on the menu but $10...
What a wonderful surprise, this place is fantastic. Great food , efficient professional service beautiful space to dine in. Couldn't fault anything, everybody at our table loved their food.But now i want to comment on floor staff. All young, about 18yrs old . These wait staff were more efficient professional and polite than some of the stuck up moronic forgetful rude staff at places like amalfi, Trattoria, africola. Where these so called adults can totally ruin your dining experience by forgetting your orders not checking to see if your happy keeping you waiting for hours .Not at Carmine, i was so impressed. Was expecting more from this place. The set up and decor inside is beautiful and makes for nice atmosphere. The service was a little sloppy to say the least. Garlic bread pizza was ordered and came out after our mains. We orders the pork ribs and steak. Steak came out undercooked which can happen. Trying to get someone's attention to fix it was difficult. The pork ribs on the menu sound like they are marinated in a sauce. The ribs come out cooked without a sauce and they were dry. A bowl of sauce comes with it for you to dip in... Not what I was expecting for $30. Overall, not that bad but definitely not that great either.
Had a business social dinner, all of us from out of state.. our waitress was absolutely fabulous. She actually lost our food order but was so honest, down to earth and apologetic that not one of us minded telling her our food order again.. the food was fabulous, all empty plates, so hats off to the chef.. Greeted with friendly & welcoming staff.Very good and extensive menue selections with great staff contributions & recommendations.Appropriate selection of wines and beers supporting the menu.High quality & well presented fresh food served in a timely pace.Will make this a regular venue on my trips to Port Adelaide.
I had never dined at Carmine's previous location but the frontage at the new location almost drags you in. Extremely cosy and beautiful interior. Waiter was very friendly, attentive and accommodating. I had a decent serve of fettuccine torino which was delicious. A new fave in the western burbs!
I make an effort to come here every time I come back to Adelaide. The restaurant looks amazing, the decor is absolutely stunning. The eggplant parmigiana is amazing. I got to try the pastas this time too and they were beautiful.

Have been here on many occasions for lunch and few times for dinner, food has always been first rate from the pizza to the pasta and everything in between. Great family restaurant, if your in the area give it a go.
