Decided to here after a show at Hall For Cornwall to make it easier rather than cook when at home. Haven't been here in quite awhile. The staff very friendly not very busy which I can understand after we had the meals. The place lacked any atmosphere no music on except when they opened the kitchen door and I think the chef liked loud music. Food was average. my fries well think all he did was dipped them in the fat enough to get them hot, way not done enough. My ribs where done nicely although there excuse for a salad was a bit of green and couple pieces of sweetcorn. My son said afterwards it was lacking ingredients. Went for dinner on a way to a show in Truro. We ordered from the special offers menu and had starters and main courses. The calamari was shocking, greasy, lumps of raw chilli and not the calamari rings that you would expect, but small whole looking octopus! (see photo). We also ordered mushrooms, which had been over fried, served burnt and full of cooking oil! Main courses bland with my wife's steak full of fat. Waiting staff very friendly, but not so good at the bar when trying to get a drinks re-fill... One lady actually walked away from her food, after taking one look at it and deciding not to bother. Food was okay, although I need to teach the chef how to cook a ribeye medium rare. It was over done. Was a bit disappointed at the amount of chips. However, no roast available which was due to lack.of staff apparently. No three time cooked chips, only French fries. No chocolate sauce which eliminated two of my favourite sweets so didn't bother. I was trying to catch the attention pf three staff standing around at the bar looking at a phone to ask about wi-fi. Very little response initially. However, staff serving at the tables very pleasant.
We are regular visitors to this Beefeater in Salfords. The food has always been great and the staff are always very helpful and friendly. We went for Sunday Roast on the last occasion and it was great; one of the meals had a little too much fat on the Lamb but our lovely waitress, Jess D, replenished us with some nice lean pieces. We normally eat off the main menu on weekdays and are very happy with the meals and hospitality. Jess D was great on our recent Sunday visit.

Although staff were ok the food was dismal very small portion could count the chips on one hand and burger was something you would expect for a kiddies meal, place could do with a refurb. We’ve used Beefeater here and other places over the years but this one has dropped in both quality and size of meals enormously, Won’t be using this one again unless it improves dramatically !
If you are looking for a lovely evening, great customer service and hot food then don’t go here….if you want to be shouted and told to GET OUT for daring to ask for your cold replacement meal which you have waited 20 mins then go ahead and book. You won’t be disappointed.. Don’t deserve 1 star but unable to leave a review without.
We both had a very nice meal at the Beefeater. The staff were welcoming and very friendly and we did not have to wait long for our meals, which arrived hot, fresh and delicious. Everyone was working very hard to make up for the shortage of staff, and made our visit very pleasant nonetheless. Would recommend this restaurant.
As always everything was perfect. We were well looked after by Sheila. Despite her being very busy. Sheila, somehow or other, finds time to talk to us for a short while and is very attentive. Our food was perfectly cooked and presented to us well. This restaurant always has a friendly atmosphere.

Absolutely terrible!Freezing cold restaurant, got drinks order wrong , got food order wrong. No service whatsoever, no wonder there were only two other tables in there. Won’t ever be going back .
10/10 Michelle at the barn in Milton Keynes is brilliant .. smile on her face and willing to help you out at any time..top class
