We booked a table here the month before on the internet and received an email back saying Nous avons pris note de votre réservation However, it was a good job I confirmed we were had a reservation at lunchtime because the very pleasant young waiter...told me they didn't have our names booked but it was no problem to book us a table for that evening (he said we had possibly booked a table at the le Ciel de Nimes, above the nearby Art Gallery, but I checked later and we hadn't). Anyway, we arrived and despite it being a very windy evening we were shown a very nice table tucked away from the mistral and the road, under a huge date palm. Between the Art Museum and the Fountain Jardin, in a very attractive, quiet area, you will find this restaurant. It has probably Nimes' most beautiful outdoor seating. And also a lovely interior. It is very reasonably priced, and the lunch menu is really a steal...at way under euros. You will have a quiet, peaceful lunch in a beautiful setting with friendly, helpful service. If you want a break from the noise and bustle of the main drag in Nimes, with its hectic, crowded restaurants that serve greasy fries and dried-out baguette slices, try le Carre d'Art. You will not be disappointed.
on a weekday in juni the outside terrace was completely booked, but the waiter brought us a table. the meal was especially a success due to the intention. the year old eating loved us really eating her child of steak and...Fries and sirop the adult had pork fillet (filet mignon), that was a plentiful but very hard. we had to ask for steak knives and then even had difficulty with them. the Café-Gourmand (with Mini-Desserts) was not very gourmand. So it could be better to eat. the service is friendly but not as fast and professional as in other French restaurants.
already when they enter the place, they can feel this beautiful inviting atmosphere from the waitresses! eating is really good and is correct for the price. What is amazing is that when they sit to eat their meal, they can have this fantastic...view of the center of nimes and especially on la maison carré! since in nimes it is very hot in summer, they have also installed water sprayers to cool them off. the waiter is very cheeky and funny! it is very relaxing to come here and I suggest they come.

We found this gem at the end of lunch time. The lunch of the day was over, but we ordered from the a la carte. We had the Gaspacho soup for a starter and a filet for mains. Both were delicous. But the best experience...was the young man waiter, who has a natural positive attitude for customer service. points for that.
a really nice introduction to what must have been a pre-priority. the large salon is now the dining area, classically decorated with good taste. the service is on the pompous side while eating is appropriate. the details that count are...not: ie: no cloths in the bathroom wash bassin, but disposable papers.
Strolling through Nimes looking for evening meal and came across this restaurant. for excellent courses. Local wines explained well by waiter, who was friendly and explained parts of the menu we struggled to understand with our limited French. Beautiful decor. Amazing lighting
this restaurant has a good food, it has a constant service that is sometimes difficult in nimes to find restaurant services after the lunchtime. but the most important of this restaurant is the view over the meson carre and nimes!
