On the bright side, the pancakes were fantastic—10 out of 10! They were soft, fluffy, sweet, and just perfect. The apple cider was also outstanding—definitely the best I've ever had. Overall, aside from the pancakes and cider, most items were quite bland. The service, however, was excellent—very friendly and accommodating. Cars also has a full bar, which is a nice touch! I appreciated the large portion sizes, which is what we came for, but the food itself lacked flavor. I’m giving Cars 3 stars primarily because it’s a family-run business, which I really appreciate. Huge portions! My husband started with a side salad and it was as big as an entree you would get anywhere else. My daughter ordered the kids pancake breakfast and it was bigger than her head! We also ordered the BLT and the Drop Top chicken sandwich. Everything tasted excellent! For dessert we order the chocolate milkshake, and it was twice the size of any I've ever ordered. So thick and delicious! Our waitress was very friendly. I gave it one less star because the wait time for the food took a while. It was nice that the kids were given goldfish to munch on during the wait!
They had an incredible special drink called Eggnog Amaretto, and of course, a glass of water. My food came out in less than ten minutes. I was really pleased to find soft butter and warm syrup accompanying the dish. The chicken was incredibly tender and seasoned perfectly, while the waffle was light and fluffy. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place and plan to return because I can't wait to try more of their menu!
Bring your appetite! The portions are huge, especially for the prices, they serve a lot of hot delicious food! Staff here are friendly, fast and always come to warm up for a coffee. My darling! Carr's has some unusual menu items, checkout their Seafood omelets! They also make breakfast clips, amazing waffles, French toast and domestic frying... They won't be disappointed. Many parking spaces, but they are busy!!
The food was good, as was the service. The portions are huge. The price for what you get makes it worth it. The only down side is having to wait about 40 minutes to get your food. More food seems to go out the door via takeout than what is served indoors. I can see why some people seem just ready to leave by the time the food hits the table.
Be prepared to wait, the entire menu is worth it. The portions are HUGE, so yes, it takes time to make. Carr's is also sensitive to social distancing, so seating is limited. Yes, this cinnamon role is huge. No, the bacon isn't included. I used it to show the size of the roll.
The service was extremely friendly, and the portions were generous and served piping hot. The cinnamon roll is definitely meant to be shared among several people.
