This is a solid Carvel that has been a staple in the town of Ardsley for many years. There is sufficient parking available behind the building, although the parking lot itself can be a bit cramped. Previously, there was a Subway in the same location, but a couple of years ago, they removed it to expand the Carvel, which now occupies the entire store. In addition to the usual ice cream at the front counter, they offer a variety of cakes and desserts for takeout. The staff is friendly and quite efficient. Carvel continues to provide some of the best soft serve ice cream I've ever had. It's a great spot to visit during the summer when the temperatures rise.
It's truly disappointing that a restaurant that has been beautifully renovated suffers from poor management. I've visited several times, only to be treated like a bother by the manager. He consistently has a negative attitude, even during our visits that are usually 2-3 hours before closing. On multiple occasions, I've noticed that he shuts down the machines hours before the official closing time. The last time I was there, he took my order without uttering a single word, which I found to be incredibly disrespectful. This prompted me to ask...
Hi team, Hope Hurricane Henri 's letting you enjoy your Sunday evening without a snorkel. I just had the Oreo Cold Brew for the first time, and I have one important piece of feedback for the flavor... NEVER get rid of it. I need it everyday for the rest of my life. It was scrum-diddly-umptious, holy moly. I can 't stop thinking about it. My wife feels literally threatened that I 'm going to leave her to marry this ice cream. Wow. Also, nice move on the 666 Saw Mill River Rd. This flavor is literally the devil 's sauce. Hugs, Joey
How was Carvel? That's an easy question to answer... Carvel has always been and will always be one of my Happy Places! The only time I frown there is when I remember that I'm 72 and can only enjoy a regular-sized cone instead of indulging in a giant milkshake with an extra scoop of a different flavor and getting away with it.

The hot fudge sundae was disappointing. The young employee made it again, but unfortunately, it was messed up a second time. I've been visiting this Carvel for more than 50 years, and the quality has really declined. It's a pity, especially since it's just half a mile from where Tom Carvel lived.
So excited that new management has taken over Carvel! (Sometime late 2020? They have completely renovated it, and it looks clean and fresh. The staff is friendly and professional (and they make a great dasher! So very happy to have Carvel back in my life!!
The hot fudge sumdae was lousy. The kid making it made it again and fouled it up the second time. I?ve been coming to this Carvel for over 50 years and it has gone downhill dramatically. It?s a shame because it?s a half a mile from where Tom Carvellived.
Really pleasant and helpful and friendly staff at this location. of course they have the same choices as pretty well every other Carvel. again, you know the quality you're getting before you get in the door.

New owner has completely revamped the store. Bright and beautiful. Fresh delicious ice cream and friendly service. Great selection of cakes and novelties. Plus bogo Wednesday is Sundae!!
The restaurant is tidy and well-maintained. The service is fast and friendly. There are picnic tables outside where you can enjoy your ice cream. Plus, there's free parking available.
