A tiny place that would be an easy place to miss but we were advised to try this family-run restaurant by some immigrants from Colombia. Since there were four of us, we were able to try a wide variety of the offerings. All were fresh and very tasty. The pork Asado Negra (pork steak cooked with onions, peppers and plums) was especially delicious. Chicken flautas, quesadillas and empanadas were also great. Not spicy, in case you are worried! Washed down with a couple of cold cervezas and it made for a very nice dinner. Décor is a little dated but the atmosphere is great and everyone (including our waiter/owner) was very friendly and asked us several times if we were enjoying the food.
Excellent service. The server was friendly and prompt in taking and delivering orders.Food portions were substantial and good value. Three of us had the chicken chimichangas. They were hearty and the kitchen spared no expense with cheese. The accompanying salad was fresh and the rice with beans was outstanding.My partner has the paella. While it was well appointed with seafood and he enjoyed it, he wouldn’t have it again.The refried beans were also disappointing. They were thin and liquid like.However, outstanding value in a friendly atmosphere.
The menu offered a range of choices that pleased all of us, including two rather picky boys, a vegetarian, and an open-minded adult. We started with a plantain appetizer that we all enjoyed, and then our main dishes included pupusas, a Mexican plate, flour tortillas with vegetables, and enchiladas. The rice and beans, pork, and cheese and peppers were all wonderful. The host was also happy to change a dish to fit the vegetarian's request. We received plenty of tasty dishes quickly and at a very reasonable price.
Our meal here wasn't even edible. Complete garbage. They served an enormous plate of low grade, over cooked pork, beef, and chicken that we didn't even touch. The upside was the side of fries. They weren't bad. I have no idea how this place earned so many good reviews. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
What a delightful experience. We had mych food between us and it was all amazing. Anna was a real gem and a lovely server/ host. We visited from the Interlake in Mb. Wish we had a gem like this in Mb. Thanks again Anna for the lovely conversation and food!!!
If you are looking for authentic and delicious, this is the place. Amazing food, great service, large portions, and reasonable prices. Highly recommend the combo loco which gives you a nice variety of things to taste. Will definitely be returning!
Delightful restaurant. The owner is friendly and the restaurant is quaint-lots of decor from various countries in South America. The food is authentic, delicious, and inexpensive. Highly recommended.
