One reason we loved our Lisbon on Wheels Tour Guides Nuno and Victoria is that they took us to local hangouts like this!! They seemed a bit hesitant to expose us to this fantastic local sandwich shop, but we were hungry and ready for an authentic Portuguese taste sensation. Oh my...what an experience! So, this is fast food, Portuguese style. We felt so lucky to be shown the ropes of Bifanas and the homemade soups at this little diner. We stopped on our way back from two Setubal wineries and were ready for a little something more substantial than water crackers:) The Bifanas were actually very tasty. Wow! We were driving out to Lisbon on the N10and this gorgeous smell hit our noses. We thought so hungry suddenly and so decided we would double back on the, rather brilliantly positioned roundabout not 20 metres from the place. Parked up, went in and were greeted with such funny and friendly staff. I had all the meat on the plate option witu extra cheese and egg and Susa had the prom in a bun. Absolutely lovely and a future pit stop for any traveller midway between the Aarabida and Lisbon. Magic
