Get a reservation or there will be a wait. The bathroom is beautiful but it was out of toilet paper. The bread is good, it comes toasted with garlic butter. The drinks are well-balanced. The fish soup is hearty and rich yet light. The calamari is crisp and tender (its sauce is spicy). The shrimp tostones could use a bit of salt but it is otherwise perfectly cooked. The fried shrimp appetizer depends on the tartar sauce for flavor. The shrimp mofongo in the creole sauce is utterly delightful. My only critique is I would give it a bit of piquancy. If you get appetizers and an entree you're going to need a to-go box. The server missed one of our entrees. All-in-all it was a good experience but...
Now one of my favorite place to go. Tonight we didn't have dinner but we sat at the bar and had drinks and appetizers. This is one place that they are not stingy with the alcohol. You get your monies worth. The mojitos are absolutely the best. The ambiance is perfect for a one on one date or a night out with friends. Our waiter Marielle made us feel like we were at a family's house having drinks. She was so attentive and out going that it made you feel welcome. Definately a must try place if you haven't yet and their food is delicious too. Ask for Marielle at the bar for a family like. welcome. Will definitely keep going back.
This restaurant has always been top on my list of favorites places to eat at, but I must say I am disappointed. Picked up a to-go order tonight. I opened the plate with the steak and noticed a small stick. I picked it out thinking it was a piece of rosemary, but it felt hard. Upon inspecting it, I noticed it was a piece of metal. I am grateful that I didn't bite into it because it would have pierced my gum/cheek or most definitely cracked a tooth. I hope nobody else got anything like it in their food. Check your kitchen because something is broken and missing a piece.
The food was absolutely delicious. I ordered Pernil with white rice and black beans. The portions were huge and even better the next day for lunch. My husband ordered Steak with white rice and red beans...he loved it. My daught got the Morongo with pork and wow it was so flavorful and delicious. My son order chicken nugget type meal and well this was not just chicken nuggets....the chicken tasted amazing too! I look forward to going here again. Every dish was better than the next. I was really excited to visit this place on Mother’s Day with my wife. First of all, the food was not well cooked. I ordered wild salmon, rise, a separate order of tostones; which never arrived but was on the bill. My wife ordered shrimps and it was undercooked. The only thing I liked was the juice. The person whom serviced us had a nasty actitud since the beginning. A short Dominican guy with a beard. In conclusion, I didn’t have a great moment at this restaurant. I had no luck with the food or the service. We did not eat 85% of the food.
Good food, great Margaritas, delicious rum punch at fair prices. Excellent service. There was loud music in the bar and also loud, yet different music playing in the dining room. Difficult to have conversation at the table without shouting and also hard to talk with our waiters because of the 2 sets of loud music, along with an eventual full dining room full of shouting diners. We all enjoyed our food and drinks but I myself left with a bad headache from the volume.
My nephew has always raved about the great food and atmosphere at this restaurant. I finally tried the food and it lives up to the hype. Delicious Dominican food. Beautiful bar setup. Nice place to grab a drink with friends after work and enjoy a home-cooked meal.
The food was delicious. I had Mofongo with Carne Frita. Well seasoned and tasty. Hubby had Mofongo with shrimp and couldn't stop raving. I must add that the bathrooms sparkle and have black toilets they look amazing!! Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Had a big party of over 20. Food was delicious and portions were generous. Our waiter, Michael, was wonderful and patient. Great place!!
