A friend who shares my interest in food and wine suggested we try this restaurant. He stated "best Portuguese food in Sydney and as cheap as chips". Booked for lunch last week, an older man took the booking and assured me they were open on the 28th. Not being comfortable about amateur restaurateurs, I called today to make sure they were open. I called 7 times...line was constantly busy. We figured (wrongly) that they were open, but busy in the kitchen and couldn't be bothered to answer the phone. Checked the website...website said they were open. Drove out there, guy at the bar was horrified that we thought it was open, checked the restaurant booking diary which said restaurant open. Said the phone wasn't working properly (because it was set on busy). Apologised profusely that the restaurant was closed until later in January and patrons...
Tolles portugiesisches Restaurant mit ausgezeichneten Meeresfrüchten und reichhaltigen Portionen. Je nach Tag, an dem sie sehr beschäftigt werden können, und der Service kann ziemlich langsam sein, aber wenn Sie warten können, dass es sich lohnt. Freundlicher Service in einem alten Stilclub mit Menschen, die Tennis in den Gerichten draußen spielen, und Kinder, die überall herumlaufen. Sie hatten Live-Musik, während wir dort waren, aber für mich war es alles um das Essen. Die TEILS-Meeresfrüchte-Platte war der Standout.
Great Portuguese restaurant with excellent seafood dishes and abundant portions. Depending on the day they can get very busy and service can be pretty slow, but if you can wait it's worth it. Friendly service in an old style club with people playing tennis in the courts outside and kids running around everywhere. They had live music while we were there, but for me it was all about the food. The share seafood platter was the standout.

Dieser Ort ist der beste Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis traditionelle portugiesische Lebensmittel, die jemals das Vergnügen hatten, sich einzuholen. Hat oft oft gegessen und übertrifft immer die Erwartungen. Mein Tipp ist, jemanden zu haben, der das Specials Board interpretiert, und Sie können einfach schief gehen. Das normale Menü ist genauso gut und Sie werden nicht enttäuscht sein. Etwas für alle und sehr kinderfreundlich.
Ich fühlte mich Heimweh und den besten Weg, um es zu beheben, ist durch das Essen ... sobald wir über diesen Ort herausgefunden haben, mussten wir es einfach ein GO geben. Ich ging für ein Bitocken, denn wenn es ein portugiesischer Ort ist, kann man nicht schief gehen. Großer Raum, direkt auf dem Spot-Menü mit erschwinglichen Orten. Und alles ist lecker! Oh, und es war bisher der schönste Espresso in Sydney.
This place is the best value traditional Portuguese food ive ever had the pleasure of indulging in.Have eaten here many times and always exceeds expectations. My tip is to have someone interpret the specials board and you simply cant go wrong.The normal menu is just as good and you will not be disappointed. Something for everyone and very child friendly.
I was feeling homesick and the best way to fix it is through food... So as soon as we found out about this place we just had to give it a go. I went for a bitoque because if it's a portuguese place you can't go wrong. Big room, right on spot menu with affordable places. And everything is delicious! Oh, and it was the nicest espresso in Sydney so far.
