we were here once and are not impressed. but we wanted to give him a second shot and we had a gift certificate. first, the inner depressing. white walls, no character, whatever and the lighting is terrible. the first time we ate here, it had a beautiful red brick terrace that no longer exists. now it feels more like eating someone in the cellar. eating was not bad, but we had better Mexican food for less money. it is regrettable, because with the michelin Star ratings and the time it takes to get a reservation, I have expected a lot more.
they sit at the bar or come with a big party, otherwise they will sit in an area without ambiente (no music, no space between tables, no comfortable sitting places, no lighting.) a little expensive for eating, that is just ok. as an example costs a side tear $7. I was honest to expect that I was woven and everything was more or less just ok.
Wasnt that good like they say. Service was bad, drinks needed a bit more of flavor. The tacos al pastor were a little dry. Rice and beans, rice a was spicy sent it back twice but they still said it wasnt spicy at all. Overall didnt really enjoy it. The only flavorful dish was the mole, other than that not good.
The food was okay, but I think I had my expectations higher with it being a michelin star restaurant. Also, coming from someone who is Mexican, I expected better mole enchiladas and guacamole, which lacked salt, lemon, onions, and jalapeños. The margaritas were good though and the tres leches. This place is a MUST TRY!. Everything from the food to the restaurants hospitality was nothing but amazing. My husband and I celebrated our one year marriage anniversary here and wouldn't have it any other way! We will definitely be returning to try the rest of their amazing food and drinks!
Innovative and daring but still remaining true to the cuisine of Mexico. Best Mole I have ever had. Can’t wait for March 17 when we will dine again!
