I must first say that the experience I'm about to share took place last year. For my grandson's birthday we allowed him to chose the restaurant to go to for his 14th. birthday. he chose Casa Grecque, in Chateauguay. Big mistake!!. We called ahead for reservations for 5 people and informed them that it was for a birthday supper.When we arrived we where stuck in a corner of the restaurant and patiently waited for some service.After waiting for about 20 minutes and watching others that had arrived after us. order, and be served before we had even given our requests from the menu. We arrived on a Sunday evening 6:15pm. It was packed. Great sign right?There was 4 groups waiting ahead of us, but with a restaurant this big, turn over is generally quick. I was with 3 hungry teenagers after a hockey game. Other people arrived while we were waiting and got seated before us, but also other groups that were there before us. Not cool, I don't care if you know them or work there...After more than a 40 minute wait, we get seated, and it takes another 15 minutes to get waited on. Once our orders taken, we received our food relatively quick, like 10-15 minutes tops. The food was great, but no one came to check on us. Not for drink refills, not to find out if everything was OK, not...
We eat regularly at La Casa Grecque! They've renovated and they have a lot of parking too.Our usual waitress Elaine is always smiling, fast and efficient! What I like of this restaurant is that the food is at the right temperature: we love their shrimps. They have a very nice selection of dishes and the ambiance is always nice. Prices are very affordable! We're planning another event at this beautiful place next week with a large crowd! The manager Mr. John is very friendly and takes good care of your demands! We went there in couples, group, family! A must in Châteauguay!
With three young children all under 10, tonight was nothing fancy just us getting a meal - relaxed. The meal was very good. The only issue was the cool air we felt. Waitress was good, and quality of food was good as well. This place is bring your own wine. However if you don't drink or choose not no like we did the "soda/pop" is non refill! ..... I have to say this is one place I simply love going. The food is always fantastic. The soups are delicious, warm bread served to your table and you can bring your own wine. They have a special for 2 for 22.00 certain days of the week as well and its really nice inside. A gorgeous place to sit and chat with someone or a group. I am always happy at this restaurant and if you like desserts I strongly recommend the cheesecake. it is simply divine!!
Although a chain, the owners, cooks, and all staff set this one apart from the others. Need to customize your meal - never a problem. In need of a reception room they have it and will work with you on a special menu - even allow you to bring your own music. You will never be rushed through your meal take the time you need to relax and enjoy. Great atmosphere and very welcoming environment. Staff really make you feel welcomed.
Greek food specialty. We enjoy going there. The food is good and the service is fine. I do recommend reservations for weekends but ask not to be close to large tables as it can be noisy. The desserts look really good but always too full to try.
