I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. I spent around $300 on a Christmas dinner for my family, and the steak was simply awful. I ordered it medium rare, but it came out overcooked and tough. To make matters worse, several items from our order were missing. Since it was Christmas and we ordered online, no one answered the phone, so we ended up paying for food we never received. I strongly advise caution if you’re thinking about dining here—the food is subpar and extremely overpriced. Casa has really lost its charm compared to what it used to be.
This was our second visit to the restaurant with family (seven of us), and regrettably, we were disappointed again. There was only one server handling the entire restaurant, and just one person in the kitchen. The service was slow, although Eric, the server, was incredibly dedicated and did his utmost, even lending a hand in the kitchen. Unfortunately, the food was mediocre, and we've decided not to return. It's clear that they are severely understaffed.
My wife and I had a wonderful dinner experience. She ordered the souvlaki, and I went for the butterfly shrimp, and both meals were superb. The service was exceptional as well. We arrived around 4:30 PM, and the restaurant was relatively quiet at that time. However, by the time we left about 40 minutes later, it was filled with customers. I recommend making a reservation if you plan to visit during peak dinner hours.
I had to ask for bread twice before it finally arrived. Even after requesting an ice bucket on two occasions, I never received one. My salad was served several minutes after the main course instead of before. To my disappointment, I found a long brown hair in my salad. The filet mignon skewers were improperly cooked, and we waited more than an hour for our main course to be served. It’s unlikely we will come back. Our last dinner here nine months ago was wonderful, so we were very disappointed this time. Additionally, there was no parking available at 6 p.m.
I ordered my steak medium, but it arrived well done. I sent it back, and when it came back, it was still hard to cut, full of gristle, and raw inside. I was really disappointed. The waitress remarked, "Well, you did eat two pieces before."
The escargot was excessively salty, and the steak I ordered medium rare was actually overcooked. I also had to wait 15 minutes before someone finally attended to me. I'm really disappointed; I used to enjoy this place so much.
