we are here for lunch on a perfect day in the mai. we were happy to get a recently released table on the beach with an uninterrupted view. we ordered calamari a la plancha and share a grilled whole fish. the calamari was a whole. large squid and was a little undertook where the body meets the tentacles. Moreover, it was very delicious and was served with a koleslaw and kartoffeln. the fish was very well cooked and served with kartoffels, coleslaw and a mixture of cut green beans, peas and baby carrots, which were either frozen or out of a dose. Ca' Mariano is one of our favourite beachfront restaurants in the Playa de Velilla section of Almunecar. It has habitually been closed during January and February, but we always look forward to its opening in early Spring. This year we were surprised to discover that...an almost complete rebuilding of the restaurant is being undertaken. Virtually nothing will remain of the original structure. The roof is being supported by construction jack while a new floor (extended to cover a larger main dining room) is being poured and clearly the renovation will be extreme. to be great among almunecar restaurants is not a common feat! ca' mariana has been eating good for many years, to good trips, with good service, in a great environment. if that is not great, what is it? Today we have brought some friends from Sweden to ca' mariana to introduce them to the wonderful life we live here with so many good restaurants. they were impressed. the environment, at the beach of Viella, is a good start, but providing good food and good service made it as close to perfect as you can expect. I should probably not tell people that; but the truth is that we are spoiled here. if you haven't tried casa mariana yet, go now!
As regular visitors to Almunecar we have enjoyed several good beachside lunches outside at this restaurant and looked forward to going back after the recent total reconstruction. We had an excellent dinner, with six of us sharing a single fish that the chef recommended. The...presentation of the meal was well thought through and went beyond the somewhat basic approach we have learned to accept in many local restaurants. It was also an extremely tasty fish. in this restaurant time to eat now in our two visit almunecar (maybe a very short walk from where we stay) we have never been disappointed. the staff are friendly. expect a little effort with speaking Spanish...and eating is...easy Spanish cuisine and very tasty. no frills mustels (no sauce served) were large, perfectly cooked, large portion served and not full of grit like some terrible experiences we had in Britain. tastefully with no sauce. recommend this restaurant if you are looking for a chilled evening on the beach.
my family and I visited this restaurant in the first night of our stay in almunecar and we were not disappointed. my son and I shared a fabulous seafood paella (they advised that it would take minutes with which we were satisfied). we also ordered... steak and sardines from the grill. the whole food was wonderful and the service was very attentive, even if the restaurant was later very busy.
El sitio muy tranquilo. La fritura de pescado muy rica y variada. Los mejillones al vapor muy bien hechos. Las sardinas plancha excelente. La relación calidad/precio inmejorable y un muy buen servicio, que te reciban y te despidan con una sonrisa después de un largo día de trabajo es para quitarse el sobrero. Para repetir!
This restaurant is the best is Almuñecar. The location, the service and the food are incredible. The seafood paella was delicious. Very good wines and beers too. And the homemade ice creams are a must! We had a great time there, we'll be back! Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
