We met the owner Senior Martinez at a fund raiser and got to know him and asked what business he was in. He said he is the owner of Casa Martinez and makes the Menudo himself on Sat n Sun. So today we stopped in and tried a large bowl of Menudo n one of Pozole with homemade tortillas and two coffees. First of all parking is very tight and we parked down the neighborhood. Second it gets real busy by 9am were the line starts lining up out the door. We were there at 8:30am. So we got a table with no problem. I have been driving by here for years and finally decided to stop in for lunch. Wow what have I been missing. Although it wasn’t very busy inside the restaurant, the lunch pick up orders were out of control. During the time I was eating the flow of people didn’t stop and after tasting the food I completely understand. I ordered Camarones a la diabla, which is my go to plate when trying new places and I was very pleased with it. The shrimp were good size and had the tails already removed, the sauce was spicy but not over bearing for my taste and the beans and rice were flavorful. My go-to spot for traditional Mexican food. Menudo, pozole, chorizo eggs and the mariscos dishes are a must! My love for Casa Martinez started almost 3 years ago with menudo on a Sunday morning and it hasn't wavered. Hand-made tortillas sent me over the edge. Menudo and pozole is all I tried for several months. I graduated to staples like, tacos, tortas, quesadillas, burritos and all mariscos dishes. Everything has been delicious. Not one single disappointment. Well, just one; they wouldn't cater my event. I don't blame them though. Small, family-oriented establishment that will have my business for years to come.
Authentic AND delicious Mexican food restaurant. Hadn't been back since 5 years ago. After arriving from Cortez, Colorado My in-laws brought us here mainly because of their gorditas de chicharron con nopales and their café de olla. Ama Angelina (RIP). Nowadays after my Heart transplant I'm glad to see they are still here and haven't lost their essence. The Caldo de Res is so flavorful. My wife says gorditas are STILL delicious! Definitely our go-to restaurant for AUTHENTIC MEXICAN CUISINE great prices. Wonderful Service
At first glance it might not seem much. But the service and the food are at a whole new level. The employees are so polite and respectful to you and the food are actual real Mexican food. Like homemade Mexican food. Definitely coming back here and you should try it if you have the chance.
I've been coming here for years. Very delicious menudo, the best I've ever had. Must try the camarones ala diabla...superb! The family owned restaurant shows the care and quality they have towards their customers in the way they serve and prepare the food. Excellent place to eat!
Never disappoints with their delicious array of Mexican traditional food. Very nice family and great service. Tamales and champurado are “da bomb” during holiday season. Taste brings back memories of my “Ama” cooking which warms my heart.
The food was excellent! I ordered six tacos de Carne Asada with all the toppings, and they were fantastic. The restaurant is a bit small, but it has a genuine atmosphere. I would definitely recommend it!
