We were visiting Salento for a few hours and found a promoter on the street who pointed us towards his restaurant. We were so hungry that we followed his advice, but mostly because he offered us a bed to sleep a siesta after our lunch...8,D!...The restaurante is on a second level and is set up as a local home with bedrooms and living rooms. It felt like being in a private kitchen actually. We ordered the sancocho de gallina which was plain splendid, and quite plentiful. While in Salento, we run into this Casa Museo Kaldi which is a restaurant and the host spoke in a very particular way in a language not usually spoken, It's a kind of slang or dialect of the original people of the area, and she made us all laugh and she was just great. She tried to talk to me in English using the same kind of slang, but I couldn't understand it, so the other who we with me laughed and we decided to have the breakfast there, just because of her. The breakfast was great and reasonable. She made us all very comfortable and couldn't stop laughing most of the time. It is worth the trip to visit this place. You will enjoy it, as we enjoyed it tremendously.
We had some very good authentic colombian dishes, all served in beautiful black colombian pottery. The atmosphere in the restaurant is cosy and informal, the decoration is grandmithers style with lits of oaibtings from the coffee area. If you like it you can sit on...coffeebags like they used to do in the old times. You can visit two rooms decorated in grandmothers style, hence the museum. we had some very good authentic Colombian dishes, all served in beautiful black Colombian ceramic. the atmosphere in the restaurant is cozy and informative, the decoration is grandmithers style with liters from the coffee area. if you like it, you can sit on. zargssacks as they did in the old times earlier. they can visit two rooms decorated in style of the large-mother, therefore the museum. we recommend you to visit this restaurant.
We went to this restaurant thinking it was going to be quite nice, unfortunately, we were wrong. We asked for mondongo soup and a bandeja paisa, when the food came we were very disappointed as the soup was too salty and the bandeja had far...too much rice (about of the plate). The service was great but unfortunately it down at compensate the poor quality of the food.
