Unlike most in the comments, my wife and I came to spend a night in Casa Pepa as it has accommodation. We'd spent the day at the lakes north of Ardales and fancied chilling out at Casa Pepa in the evening before heading to Ronda the following day The landscape in these parts is absolutely spectacular. We had reserved in advance and when we arrived we were asked if we'd like to eat and of course we said yes. After freshening up we came down to eat at 9:00. We were the only ones eating and I thought it would fill up but I think we got evening treatment because we were guests for the night. I think the main business is lunchtime. Tuvimos el acierto de reservar a las 13:30 y así nos dieron mesa al momento. Para la reserva de las 14:30 vimos una muy larga cola de espera. Lugar absolutamente tradicional, es una casa de pueblo con un patio central, con las paredes decoradas con fotos y objetos antiguos. Todo muy típico. Comimos hasta reventar y eso que no aceptamos el ofrecimiento de seguir con otra bandeja de arroz caldoso. La comida no es exquisita, pero es que el precio del menú es imbatible: 13 € con dos platos, postre, vino y gaseosa, con el servicio incluido. DO NOT GO. I cannot impress on you how it is important that you do not go to this place. I went on an organised trip and begun to be extremely ill about an hour and a half afterwards. Read all the previous bad reviews. I didn't. They are all correct. My coach had to make an emergency stop for me. I also when boarding the bus heard other people say they were not feeling well.
Place was a bit grubby. Dirty toilets and menus. Food very underwhelming. Service was good. I wouldn’t be rushing back
