We celebrated our 55th wedding anniversary here last night. They have the very best salad bar.... Always full and clean. I had that along with a New York strip steak... which was delicious! Two things could have improvement: The cheese sauce on the baked potato was delicious but literally had less than a teaspoon...our table of 6 had to ask for more 2 different times! That's just silly! Plus I really thought they'd acknowledge our anniversary in some way... not a word nor a crumb of dessert! Otherwise everything else was great. Food was served quickly, hot and delicious!
I made 6:45 reservations for 2. We arrived about 20 Mins early and were seated right away. My husband ordered the rib eye. He said it was tender cooked medium rare to his liking. It had a small piece of gristle. I ordered the bottomless soup and all you can eat salad. The clam chowder was good, not great. Not loaded with potatoes but needed more clams the salad bar had lots of good selections. The hot bread butter was very good. For a very busy restaurant we still got very good service.
My wife and I made a reservation on open table, it was easy and fast. We were seated right away, and had our drinks and rolls right away. Our waitress was friendly and took our order promptly. Our food came fast and it did not disappoint. We both got steak and it was cooked perfectly, a perfect medium rare. The baked potato was delicious, and my wife loved the fried onions on the plate. We finished it off with a wonderful cheesecake, and went home stuffed with Togo boxes.
Always a good meal, great service, friendly staff from the moment you check in. One of the only places that still has a salad bar, which offers a wide variety of choices! The peanut cole slaw is delicious! If that’s not your thing, they will make a salad for you, and offer a couple of salad choices for you to choose from. Outstanding all around! Great steaks, wonderful menu, attentive service. 1977 called and wanted them to know that the salad bar is in good hands. This is how salad bars used to be (in a good way! . Was everything I wanted it to be in a great steak dinner occasion.
We go to Cask ‘n Cleaver every single year on our anniversary. It is our special place. Last night we celebrated 52 years together. Service and food could not have been better thank you very much Cask ‘n Cleaver.
Today we all went to this restaurant! Oh boy... The Prime Rib sandwich Dip was excellent! The mud pie was also delicious. We are happy customers here. We loved it, thank you.
