This place is AMAZING! The vibe is completly there, inside and out. Love the way it was designed and put together. Bar tenders know what they are doing and are human. Meaning they have a sense of humor, talk, and joke. (Not all are personable that ive encountered in other places). The owner is amazing and well grounded as well. If your into trying different things DEF stop by and give this a shot. I tried 3 different drinks( don't judge me lol). The Oasis, Flora and Fauna, and ,I forget the name but it had mushroom in it. Been wanting to visit Castalia at Sfumato for 3 years and finally go the chance to!While reservations are recommended, we were lucky enough that there was a table of 4 inside that were leaving right when we walked up.Service is AWESOME!The cocktails are one of a kind.The fragrances are completely unique.Pro tip: make a reservation for their tasting menu, where you will be able to sample all 8 of their cocktails!Pro tip #2: get the candied nuts! You will NOT be disappointed.We are definitely coming back to do the tasting menu!
Our favorite place to get cocktails in the entire Detroit metro area! The drinks are complex and full bodied and you get a much more interesting drink than you would at a standard restaurant for a very comparable price. The concept with the scents to accompany the drinks is super memorable and makes it a great spot to bring an out of town guest, and the indoor and outdoor seating and vibes are excellent.
This whole experience was incredible! The bar is in the lowest level of a mansion and looks like an old Italian wine cellar. Cool. Then the cocktails have a paired scent on a strip that you lay across your drink. As you lift your glass to drink, you are using your taste and smell senses. The combination is really unique and delicious. Loved it.
I order my bill and its last more than 25 minutes. This types of bars need to be focus in the customer services and the quality of the treatment of the client. Cocktails are good but not meet my expectations based on previous reviews. Hope they improve, because have potential.
Amazing cocktails, service, patio and ambiance. Enjoyed learning about the scents that made the cocktails so special. Can't wait to return. Also, it's black-owned, so gotta love it.
Thoroughly enjoy this place concepts of cocktails/mocktails. I usually try a set of alcohol followed by non-alcohol version. Always good. Stop before or after dinner.
A unique cocktail lounge in a small intimate space. Staff is fun and friendly. You get a delicious cocktail paired with a scent. They have non alcoholic options too.
