We stopped by this restaurant today for a quick break while traveling from Luddenfoot to Castle Carr and the Valley. I must say, it is a great place. The lady behind the bar was fabulous and very helpful in arranging our visit to Castle Carr in a few weeks. The regulars were also friendly to chat with. We will definitely be back soon for a meal. Thank you.
This restaurant is a hidden gem. The expertise of the staff shines through in the recommended dishes. They have received an award from Timothy Taylor's for their excellent beer selection, which is truly deserved. The bartender serving the drinks is also a sight to behold. What more could you ask for?
We had a wonderful dining experience at this restaurant. The portion sizes were very generous and the food was delicious. The house-made dishes were outstanding, and the beer selection was great. We will definitely be returning in the future.
Delightful views from outside seating in a split level area. Kitchen now open Thursday to Sunday but we visited on a Wednesday. Beware of the road to it. Not for the faint hearted city driver plenty of narrow stone walled bits. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Excellent meal this evening, pan seared sea bass, crushed new potatoes and asparagus with wilted spinach. Beautifully cooked with fabulous flavours. Very friendly and efficient bar staff, we will definitely go again very soon.
Very friendly, lovely situated, kitchen just had overall so as we were a big group had to have Sunday lunch, only criticisms were chicken a bit dry, and slow bringing spoons and custard for desserts but defo come again
Just called down on the off chance after walk to Wainstalls. Haven't been here in ages. Cracking pint of Boltmaker like before. Sat in the extensive Beer Garden. 10/10.

Really nice pub out the way. Lots of character. Nice pint and friendly service... Great wooden veneers too. Highly recommended.
