I absolutely love, love, love, looove the Catfish Cafe. I called a little before 2:30AM this morning, Monday, April 19, 2021 and placed an order for catfish with mac and cheese and yams. First, the customer service was superb. The young lady who answered the phone and helped me was just so nice. Now on to the food which was just incredible. I hadn't been to the Catfish Cafe in a few years and I'm telling you that the food has gotten even better since the last time I was there (if that's even possible! . The mac and cheese was the bomb. I ordered the platter with Wels Nuggets, tilapia, and shrimp, along with two sides. I loved the hot greens and baked macaroni and cheese – so good! It’s great to know that the greens are fresh and not from a can, which is what you often get at fast-food places. The red velvet cake was moist and rich, definitely a highlight! I’d rate the food a solid 5 stars. As I mentioned before, the ambiance is casual, with simple tables and seating – nothing fancy. The staff was friendly, and our server, Taira, was attentive and had a genuine smile. I’m definitely looking forward to coming back, even on my own!
I don't eat meat, but all their sides are above average. It could be in the hood, but it was my third time to go there, I was never in a place where literally everything tastes so fresh every time. My friend got pork chops and he said they were really delicious. All I suggest is add black pepper to your Mac and cheese and it sleeps lol it is good and fresh as it is, but tastes a bit smooth without pepper bc they do not seem overdue it on salt and sugar in their food, which is good imo lol

We ordered the catfish (fried crispy), mac and cheese, and yams, along with an iced tea. The catfish was absolutely perfect, and the sides were fresh and delicious. The tea was sweet and refreshingly cold, just as it should be.
Food was cold greens was tasteless Peach Cobbler taste very old Shrimp Dinner was rubber Freshly Made Lemonade was hot ice tea
The chicken was old tonight, making it difficult to chew. Given the price, I expect larger portions. I'm quite disappointed.
