This place isn't fancy, but they do offer gluten-free options. My wife is gluten-sensitive, and she had no problems at all. You place your order at the counter, and they prepare your food right in front of you, which is similar to the Chipotle model but way better! We ordered nachos, three tacos, and a burrito, and everything was excellent. We tried the chicken tinga and beef tinga for our proteins, and both were delicious. The fresh guacamole was a highlight too. We left feeling completely satisfied. I'd choose this over any chain Mexican restaurant. We will definitely be returning!
My first impression of the restaurant wasn't very positive, but I believe it could get better after a few more visits. One of the main challenges was my limited Spanish, and unfortunately, the counter staff's English wasn't much better. As a result, I didn't quite get what I wanted. On the bright side, they have a nice menu and a pleasant dining area. I ordered a burrito that had too much rice and no salsa. However, the horchata was delicious. I'll give this location another try. For now, I rate it a perfectly average 3 out of 5.
Think Chipotle, but on steroids. I will happily drive well out of my way to eat here. Their food is amazing, they have WAY more variety than Chipotle, it's way more authentic, and they probably have close to 10 salsa options. If you like heat, I strongly recommend the quemada salsa for a nice smoky flavor. The quality and service has admittedly gone downhill a little since they started expanding, but not too significantly. I'll still go out of my way to dine here.
I have found my new favorite Mexican restaurant! The atmosphere is fantastic, the food is delicious, and the staff are incredibly friendly. The chicken tinga is simply outstanding, and the tamales are everything I could hope for. The variety of salsas they offer is amazing. It’s a fun place to be! The food here is casual and fresh. I tried the steak tacos and steak bowl, both of which were generously portioned with plenty of steak. However, the tables and chairs are somewhat worn, and the atmosphere isn't very inviting. While the food is fresh, I did notice that some of the rice was dry because it was left uncovered. Overall, it’s good food, but there are some areas for improvement.
I haven't dined at any of the sit-down restaurants yet, but Catrina's in the First National Bank is the best skyway food you can find. It's perfect for those busy days when you're on the go. I would give it five stars without hesitation. It's a fantastic spot, especially after a busy day!
More beans than meat this time, sad looking and i asked for salsa on the side, They just poured it across all three tacos. Its ok but i would recommend somewhere else to get taco's
