The Apple Crostata for dessert capped off a wonderful anniversary celebration. The Sgagliozze was the only appetizer we'd never had, and it was as wonderful as all the other antipasti. Instead of my usual, and always spectacular, Lamb Ragu, I tried the sausage pizza. The freshness of the ingredients came through. And my wife's Bronzino con Risotto was excellent--the fish cooked perfectly. Just love this place.
The hostess very graciously sat me ahead of my party, who ran late, and the server was also very understanding. The burrata app was good. Our entrees, however, were quite greasy, under seasoned, and not of good value. In addition, my entree came out about 5 minutes after my companions’ meals. We have not patronized Cattivella in a while but used to really enjoy it; it seems to need some leadership.
We love to sit at the counter and watch the guys create beautiful and delicious food. Mondays are wonderful because it’s Happy Hour pricing all evening. The calamari fritti is very tender with light breading. I love their mushroom pizza and my husband always orders Pasticcio which is baked meatballs with bolognese. So tasty. Mmmm
We go for the excellent food. Unfortunately, service is consistently rough. 15 minutes to be greeted, 20 minutes for drinks, food dropped at the wrong table, food dropped without any explanation of what it is, etc. It’s frustrating but like I said, we go for the food. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Always a good experience. Had the chargrilled oysters, not the best I’ve had. I’d probably not get them again. However my husband had the special, pistachio coated rack of lamb which was amazing. I had the salumi pizza, always a favorite!
Servers were rushing and often had to ask for service. Many servers were rushing, almost frantic , rushing back and forth. Maybe they were who’re staffed. The atmosphere was distracting.
We had a team business dinner here and it was a nice choice with the food variety and it was not overly loud. Great menu and drink selection.
Thoughtful and interesting menu. Not fussy in preparation. Good value in a time of rapidly increasing restaurant pricing. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
