The waitress was absolutely wonderful. However, our party ordered 2 Chicago styles, the buffalo chicken didn't have the buffalo or ranch sauce on it as advertised on the menu. This was made right by not charging for this pizza. The other was sausage and mushroom. They did not put any cheese on it and corrected the error by providing a container of cheese to take home with the pizza, after we requested some cheese to take with it. The two regular crust pizzas we ordered were great. Like I said, the waitress was wonderful. The issues we had came from the kitchen.
They don't have anything that's not GREAT! The pizza! The salads! The sandwiches! The pasta! Just a really great, family owned, quality, reasonably priced place, local landmark that deserves to be supported by everybody in and around the community of Staunton, IL. I order ahead a lot and pick it up at their drive-thru window for to-go orders. Been there as long as I can remember and it always should be. Ordering salads and a pizza tomorrow actually. Can't wait.
Simply said, their Chicago style pizzas are the best anywhere! The staff are friendly and efficient, and the ingredients are always fresh to the taste. For a small town venue, they do such an authentic and impressive job on every level. I highly recommend Cavataio's as the place to get your authentic Italian fix. Service: Take out Meal type: Dinner
